We have role players which is why we seem to be doing better this year. We're not burning up the Big 3 like last year. I just wish we had a better back up center.

Speaking of Lucas, one of the ESPN Heat Index writers brought up a good point. Why aren't we worshipping Lucas like Lin? Similar stories and both huge basketball markets. Is it because we don't call him Rucas?

Big game for the Knicks tonight against a very good 76er's team - losing would put them a 1/2 game behind the bucks for that final East playoff spot.

Heres to me hoping Linsanity continues!

Makes things interesting if the Lake Show faces the Thunder in the playoffs.

It certainly would; I could see Fisher trying to show the Lakers what they let go.

On a similar note, I hope Cuban gets rid of Odom. 24 minutes & puts 1 point, 1 assist, & 1 rebound. Worthless, overpaid crybaby. Trade him instead of Marion to free up cap space (he gets paid almost as much as Marion) next season to grab Williams.

I wouldve thought they would have traded him somewhere before the deadline.

Odom such a bum lol

I like Fisher and I think he was a good pickup for the Thunder. He can shoot a big shot in the playoffs if you need him to and also he is money from the free throw line if its a close game.

I think fisher is the best clutch not rated at superstar status. Probably on the same level as Mr Clutch. Robert Horry.

^^Sorry, but Mr Clutch is Jerry West.

Fish is clutch, but if he weren't doing his best impression of a slalom cone, the Lakers may not have needed his clutchness. Opposing point guards have gotten their career highs against the Lakers WAY too often.

Sessions is a breath of fresh air....kid is quick, best Laker point (in terms of talent) since Nick Van Exel.

They had a vote during tonights game on whether he should start or not. Majority voted that he should start, I have to disagree I like Blake with the starters and Sessions bringing that much needed energy off the bench. Plus I think he plays better with other people who like to run, like Barnes.

(watched the game on KCAL9 don't know if they had the vote on ESPN also)

Maybe they think MJ will suit up. We do have his jersey hanging there to use. :bonk:

Why would you want to pay $200 to watch a second-rate team with a no-name MVP lose to your team by 987462138947612934124124234623789 points? I'd get bored.

No, our MVP is Boozer. You should know that.

Considering how he is able to play with papercuts and etc., it shows how tough he really is.

I thought this too, that Blake would provide continuity, since Fish was basically his mentor at running the offense and playing with Mamba.

But mentally, he's doesn't want to be a starter. The guy has registered 3 points total in the last 3 games. I think he was comfortable being on the second string. They had a pretty good thing going when it was Blake, Goudelock, Barnes, Murphy, and Bynum/Gasol.

Mike Brown and basically stated that its 'his to lose'. I think he's going to switch to Ramon really soon...

I love Fish but he has seen his better days and he is no longer near as useful as he was 3-4 years ago. IMO the Thunder are the current D'antoni lead Suns of 5 years ago and they won't win the championship.

Yup...I said that earlier in this thread about their lack of D. Still, anything can happen in the playoffs...

...including beating the LeHeat. But, Dallas was flukey last year.

I'll pile on that I think OKC is too offensively challenged in the post. Yes, they have a great defensive set of bigs, but you have to have some offensive threat at that position. Even if its the ability to shoot a jumper, there's gotta be more there.

Dallas reminds me of the Pistons and the Celtics. Bunch of savvy vets that haven't won a chip, coming together for 1 year at the end of their 'peaks' to win one.

New York’s Carmelo Anthony basically admitted that he decided to try once the D'Antoni left and replaced with Mike Woodson.

I think in the last (few) games, my focus was to have an energy that I haven’t had so far this season, especially on the defensive end.

And that, folks...is why he's a cancer.

I disagree you have to realize not all players are capable of playing in every system or different than what they are used to and Carmelo is a prime example he just wasn't cut out for D'antoni's system or D'antonis coaching style that doesn't make him a cancer. D'antoni had his chance with the Knicks way before Carmelo got there and he couldn't make it work 121-167 is not good and that's why he's gone he recognized he just couldn't make it work.
