NBA: 2011-2012 Season News and Discussion Thread

So what? He's got plenty of time to keep pushing for one. Took Dirk & Garnett 13 seasons to get their rings & then you have players like Nash who undoubtedly deserve one.

I guess he does, but when you start saying your going for not 1, not 2 not 3, not 4, not 5....and you consider that after your 30's you may not be as explosive, he may want to start winning now.
Agree about Nash, look at Malone and Stockton, doesnt mean they arent legends, but they also arent "king" or "chosen".

Still, not sure going to the LeHeat would be the best place for Nash...I think he'd be a nice fit in Orlando.

Not to be bias but Nash would he a good fit for the heat with their fast pace run and gun game. Nash would be looking for a championship team and Orlando is nowhere near that right now. Dallas, Heat, or Lakers would be the best for Nash, but I think Dallas is holding out for D-will

mmmmmm....
Nash, Wade, LeBron, and Bosh? hmmmm... I don't know how to 38-year old body is going to keep up with Wade and Bron?

I don't see Nash going back to Dallas. Lakers? I don't see Nash fitting in any of those teams.
Poor Nash, I hope he can get a ring.... If Nash joins Heat, he could be the glove #2 (G. Payton). lol.

mmmmmm....
Wade and Lebron already have problem who is going to handle the ball most of time... adding Nash could possibly make it worse.

Well, he will be back to where he belongs, bench.

Nash would fit because the heat doesn't have a game tempo pg in the pg spot. Lebron and wade mostly run the floor and chalmers is being used as another shooter. Even though he is past his prime, Nash is putting up great numbers. He would leviate the facilitator duties from Lebron and wade, setting up better shots for the team. Plus he can take the grandpa job from Juwan Howard.

I could totally see that working because both Wade and Lebron are versatile players that can on or off the ball. The only reason they handle the ball so much is because they are currently the best playmakers on their team, if they had a point guard that's a better playmaker which Nash is then it would be Phoenix 05-06 on steriods.

Bulls may not have Rose, unfortunately (not saying he is necessity to win).
Sis' told me she has tickets to the game as well.
I kind of hope not, as there's no way I could wear a Nash, Miami Heat jersey here in Dallas.
No one? Nash is a free agent after this season from my understanding.
I've read that Nash could serve as a 2nd string. The guy is still very quick for his age, so I think he could keep up.
Nash would do fine here with Dirk & Marion as they have great chemistry. The issue is that Dallas needs some younger blood & D-Will (and even Howard a season from now) would be great for the team.
I can not see Nash playing with the Lakers & I hope he never considers them. I can't stand Lakers fans here in Dallas because it is always California>everywhere else in the US with these people....I'd rather see Nash sign with LeHeat than play with I-pass-to-myself Bryant.

The Lakers, as I currently understand them, wouldn't think of signing Nash. They seem to have a thing against 37 y/o guards right now.
He would fit in great with Miami offensively, as he'd give them an offensive system they can rely on in half court and make use of their speed in fast breaks. Wade and Bron can get down the court faster since they don't have to dribble. He'd get open 3s all day playing with those guys too....spacing would be great.
The real problem with Nash, as it always has been, is his defense. Its not any good, nor is it gonna get any better now that he's older. Seeing that Rose and Rondo are particularly challenging, I suppose it would rely on coaching on how they align themselves. When the Lakers had to guard Celtics, Kobe would end up on Rondo and Fish on equally old Ray Allen.
BTW, sorry about those Laker fans, but I find it odd when someone from say Yankee fans or Cowboy fans complain about other premier franchises.

When I was up in OKC watching the Mavs, a guy behind me called Dirk a crybaby & then complained about Durant because he had a turnover. I turned around & asked, "Are you a Cowboys fan by any chance?" "Uh, no. I like the Broncos".

I shoot people
if the Clippers lose this game, that's going to be a major fail, they are up 47/33 @ half time right now (vs Dallas)

I'll be worried if this were the case when the Bulls are sporting a full line-up. Sure, it sucks they lost...but, hey...they aren't the LeHeat who are supposed to win the next 2123 titles and go undefeated. So...cut the Bulls some slack.
