FWIW, the dunk contest doesn't have the best dunkers/players in the game.

Call me when they get Blakey, Dwighty, Brony, and Rosey into the game.
All the good dunkers realize that the dunk contest is a horribad rigged scam full of gimmicks that have nothing to do with actual dunking skill and everything to do with how many props you can add to your routine.

Demar DeRozan should have won last year. Blake Griffin jumps over the hood of a car, woopie-fuckin'-doo.

^^ especially since it turned a sponsor-infected spectacle last year.

I got the neeeeed for Sheeeeed

Actually no I don't, not really a fan of his and I am not quite sure what he can bring to us. Well I guess I will wait to see how well he plays, since as we all know, the ball don't lie!

Sheed is about the last thing the Lakers need right now. Not only will he be a distraction but they have a glut of so so forwards already on the roster and they desperately need a point guard and a new management team in the front office.

I think they're using Sheed as an extra trading chip to ship out along with Gasol.

Kevin Hart was pretty entertaining in the Celebrity All Star Game.

That makes no sense because no teams other than desperate (Lakers included) teams want Sheed and I hardly believe any team will take Sheed as even a throw in on a trade because of his deteriorated skills as well as the distractions he brings.

That's one of the very reasons no team has picked him up until now even though he said he wants to comeback.

Bottom line is Sheed carries no trade value and if the Lakers do sign him this is just another bumbling move by the front office.

I don't think it makes sense either but I believe the thinking is IN CASE they ship Pau or Bynum, they have Sheed and the other bigs to shore up the front.

Not saying I like it, just saying, I believe that's the thinking. Not that something is necessarily in the works, but in case something happens.

That was a great comeback by the East and it made it very interesting at the end. Durant was the right guy to get the MVP.

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who was injured in Sunday evening's All-Star game in Orlando, Fla., was examined after the game. Results of a CT scan revealed that Bryant suffered a nasal fracture. It is expected that Bryant will be examined and re-evaluated by ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. John Rehm on Monday when he returns to Los Angeles.

Fracture? Wow it didn't look that bad during the game. We gonna see Kobe in a Rip Hamilton mask?

Broke my nose twice playing basketball....suck it up Kobe...

In all seriousness, I've never fixed mine and have been playing for 10+ years with it. For a guy that plays with injuries, a nose will be the least of his worries.

Why did Wade have to foul that hard in the first place, in an All Star game?

Also, anyone disappointed when Lebron just refused to take the last shot? Even Kobe was jawing at him for the last minute or so for not going for it. I guess he wanted Lebron to challenge him for the win and Lebron ran away again.

Like seriously Wade? WTF.

This is why I aint too worried about the heat when it comes to playoff time. They might look great during the regular season, but come playoff time, lets see if Lebron is still LOST in the 4th quarter like he always has in the 9 season hes been playing.

coach thibs should've put his MVP instead of LeBron or wade.

But on the real. I just think it was wade being just competitive. Probably intending to just slap the ball with 2 hands. Wade's biggest problem is arguing with the refs when there is a non call on a foul that should've been a call.

I dunno, I kinda like hard fouls in an All-star game. Gramps Kobe being competitive with Wade and Lebron? Gimme that all day...fun to watch.

At least we know these guys are really playing. Made up for the stupid All-Star saturday stuff.

A wasted opportunity by Lebron by not taking the last shot or even shooting instead of passing and turning the ball over. This guy was lights out offensively and defensively in the second half, he was the main reason the East came back he should have taken the last shot even if he didn't make it he would have gained more respect than shying away from it.

Yup. With his back problems, the intent was always keep his playing time very limited.

I see. Deng only played 9min, too.

He probably didn't want his players to go out and waste energy on stupid ASG?

Bingo. And Deng didn't play after falling on his previously injured wrist. I don't think Deng got reinjured but yeah, no point risking their health in the ASG.

West won. Went down to the last shot. We lost because coach spo wasn't coaching. but on a serious note. It was pretty funny the coaches were drawing up plays in the timeout.

Well good to hear it was somewhat competitive then.

Still, probably would not watch the ASG. I think they have lost their allure.

I usually just watch allstar Saturday but that's getting lame now. I watched only the all star game only because I left the game on while studying for mid-terms

I only watched 2nd and 4th quarter... It's not the same as it was before.

Wow Lamar has taken a leave of absence from the Mavs and they don't know when he'll return. I wonder if that's a calculated move on his part?
