Intentional fouls are a tricky situation. These guys are so good at knowing the foul is coming and getting the shot off anyway. So if you did foul Pierce shooting a 3, you risk sending him to the line for 3 FTs. Or even worse, if he makes the shot, a 4 point play. I would hate to be a coach who made the call to intentionally foul in that scenario.

Yumcha, is it possible to add a poll to this thread so we can guess who will be this years champion? Make sure to show who votes for what team and perhaps lock the poll at the start of the playoffs so no further votes can be cast. Would be interesting to see who correctly picks the champ. Anyone else think this would be fun?

Yup, I can certainly do that.

I'll wait for a bit more feedback but I have no issue with it.

They should've fouled plain and simple, and worn down the clock via free throws to edge out the win. Dantoni gambled and Pierce won that game for the Celts.

But if it takes Rajon playing out of his mind, and Pierce to drop a last second 3 in regulation to beat a struggling Knicks team at the Garden in OT, it's not a bad loss by any means.

The Knicks played like :poop: and Baron, while he had moments of genius out there, is clearly no longer who he was.

And yeah, I don't personally like Kobe.... but dude is a monster baller with that mask.

Lakers leading by 15 at the half and then proceed to give the game away...

Clippers had a tough loss also to the Nets

All this plus my battery and starter died on me this morning, what a crappy day

Ya, I feel the same way, but the more they lose, the more likely we'll swing a trade. The team, as is, isn't a contender. Not enough speed...

So, the season is shaping up to be a 2-horse race in the East between the LeHeat and Bulls...

Out West it is the Thunder and Clips?

Well, it's not terrible. But, perhaps, it is a better idea to set the poll just before the playoffs when teams have clinched a spot?

Clippers? I'd say San Antonio who went on a great winning streak a while back.

OKC is still doing well, but the season may finally be catching up to them. A few times recently, they have had to rally late into the games to win, which of course, is the goal. But they aren't playing as well as they were at the beginning of the season.

I think they may end up wearing themselves out by the Playoffs, of which they have to face Miami, Lakers @ home , Chicago, Memphis, and Miami again within' a 2 week period here shortly. Those are tough teams to play against, esp. one right after the other. They'll probably beat Memphis & Portland, but I can't see Chicago, Miami, or the Lakers giving up such games without a fight.

Watched some good games on TNT tonight. Tough loss for the Bulls at home. Dwight was a monster though in the paint. Also Suns down 12 in the 3rd came back to win it. Grant Hill choked and missed 2 huge free throws to ice it, but Suns lucked out Beaubois missed 2 shots in a row to send it into OT.

^ They are SUPPOSED to suck.

I'm surprised they aren't worse than the Nets.

I think its a nice idea, but probably the earliest I'd do it is after the trade deadline.

Barely pulled that one out. Kobe ensured the victory by taking out Rubio and sinking 4 clutch FTs at the end there.

Clips looked solid as they finally get a win against the Spurs at home. I think they said they were 0-17 in the Spurs arena prior to this game. Mo and Paul had great games, Mo blew up in the 4th he was nailing 3 after 3 it was nuts.

Lin played well 20 pts on 8-14 shooting with 13 assists. I didn't watch this game but yea, it seem like they play better without Melo.

OKC's home-game streak is over now. But, it was bound to happen as predicted. They're getting tired & their season-high points is dropping each game. Durant is also turning the ball over a lot more than usual.

Yeah, I don't see us making the Playoffs this year. In the off season, there need to be some major changes & some younger talent brought on. And get rid of Odom. He's not doing shit.

They should've never let Chandler go.

Could. Not. Agree. More. Poor Haywood is getting old & getting injured frequent this season. I was there Monday night when he hurt his ankle 30 seconds into the game at OKC. I knew our chances of really winning that game went out the door.

Got tickets to Lakers vs Jazz next Sunday (free company tickets) should be fun. Pretty nice seats, gonna be in row 8 sec 102.
I hope they give away playoff tickets again. Last time I got tickets to the 2010 finals game 6 vs the Celtics.
