No worries about Jeremy Lin. The fastest defense in the league and the best perimeter defense had to basically key on him and have had 10 games of scouting on him.

So I was glad to see the Heat respect him. But he's still far better than anyone gave him credit for.

However, I think the Knicks have to figure out what to do when their point guard is well-guarded. The D'Antoni/Steve Nash led Suns had no answer when the point guard was blitzed and the passing lanes were aggressively defended. This is what happened yesterday with Lin.

Lin's biggest problem yesterday was the speed of the heat. He was getting picked off left and right. Plus the knicks love using the pick n roll offense, but the heat have the best pick n roll recovery defense because of their speed. The good thing that's going for the Knicks is that they had one hellva free agency, with pickups like Lin and Steve Novak.

I think Rin will also get pwned against an elite D like Chicago's as well. Just sayin'.

If he can start producing even when everyone is throwing their kitchen sink at him (i.e. Rose), I'll give him more kudos. Otherwise, despite me being and him being , I'll just continue to harp on the fact he sucked in Harvard and should've been a doctor, pharmacist, dentist, engineer, computer programmer, or accountant.

Ergo, Rin am fail.

Lin was a lucky set of circumstances for the knicks too...they were about to waive him. Lucky every top dog they had either got injured or had a personal issue.

I mean, at least Rose et al MADE the LeHeat cry last season. And they even took the LeHeat to 7 games. SEVEN!

We all knew it was supposed to be sweep. It was supposed to be by margins of 453478952345234 points or more. But, nope...7 games.

Rin could not even beat them once.

Just like in Econ, Rin fails at basketball.

I know why he had press conference to ask the press to stop bugging his family in Taiwan: they are tired of talking about all his failness.

Any opinions on the all-star stuff this year?

FWIW, the dunk contest doesn't have the best dunkers/players in the game.

Call me when they get Blakey, Dwighty, Brony, and Rosey into the game.

the dunk contests haven't been the same since the Jordan era...

and @ twiggy on some of the Lin hate... all this Lin hype must really have you upset... did you want to be the first gen Asian b-baller or something?

last night's outcome was expected. i think NYK needs to develop a bit more before they can run with the likes of LeHeat...

Breaking news....Sheed to sign with the Lakers.

Could someone explain to me how in the eff this is gonna help the Lakers? Not happy about this, as a Laker fan.

http://www.necn.com/02/24/12/Source-...92&feedID=3352

ORLANDO, Fla. — There's at least one team apparently still with a need for Rasheed Wallace.

CSNNE.com has learned that the former Boston Celtic forward plans to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wallace hasn't played in an NBA game since Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, alerting the C's shortly before the game that he planned to retire.

Although he had two years remaining on his contract, Wallace and the Celtics came to terms on a buy-out of the remaining years believed to be worth about $1 million.

His return to action has been rumored for weeks, fueled by a decent showing at Pro-Am tournament in North Carolina this summer.

It only became heightened by, according to league sources, a renewed conditioning regimen that apparently has him looking better than he has "in years."

With a roster of 14 players, the Lakers can add Wallace and not have to worry about waiving a player to make room.

His addition will likely fuel rumors that the Lakers will become even more aggressive in their decision to trade away Pau Gasol.

However, a front office executive whose team has had both internal and external discussions about Gasol, said the addition of Wallace will only be to strengthen their bench.

"His days as a starter in this league are gone," said the source. "I think he knows that, and so do the Lakers. But think about it. Of the big men that are available, is there one that's really better? And if he's gotten himself in shape, adding him becomes a huge get for them."

As for the Celtics, Boston had no interest in reuniting with Wallace when word spread that he was planning to make a comeback. And that lack of disinterest, CSNNE.com has learned, was mutual.

Maybe in preparation for a Gasol trade....now we can trade him for a guard maybe?

not sure I like it yet, like the CP3 thing, but this move maybe a first step in a major trade move.
