L.A. > the rest
Bill plashke is an idiot!
Laker fans have better things to do during the summer than "be haunted by memories ...."
Definitely too many distractions this year, but with a championship at stake you would figure that grown men can put all that aside and FOCUS on the task at hand.
Oh well, whatever ...The Lakers have a long tradition of winning Championships and it will only be a matter of time before we're celebrating on Figueroa once again.
You gotta look at the glass half full.

Man that Lakers game was embarrassing, humiliating and many other adjectives I don't feel like typing. There were signs all season long from beginning to the end but we fans didn't want to believe the signs we thought they would come around at some point but they didn't.
One thing that many people are forgetting Kobe, Pau and Lamar have played a lot more basketball over the last 4+ years than any other players not only going to 3 straight NBA Finals but also their international play with Team USA and Pau with the Spain team so needless to say these guys are tired. At some point you hit a wall and couple that with all the other distractions like reality shows and Pau acting in TV series and telenovelas eventually this kind of breakdown will happen.

Team Owner
I think it's safe to say Dallas is the favorite now. L.A. was still the #2 seed and weren't a slouch. I think they'll bowl over the other west series winner even though I'm rooting for Memphis since I like how they are playing.

I like the fact that this Laker era got 5 of em, and the last one over the Celtics. I'm happy about the era, but the present class of the NBA is going to be the Heat for a couple of years. You have to be able to deal with 2 perimeter threats and the fastbreak...so you need youth and athleticism on the perimter, something the Lakers are sorely lacking.
Not to mention, having guys that are athletic and quick will help deal with those speedy point guards that seem to be all the rage...

The sizzle in the Steak
To the Lakers getting swept....now L.A. won't have to be looted and burned by moronic low-class Laker fans!!!
#2616
^^glad you made the distinction between the low class ones and the ones in here Moog!

Burning Brakes
The Heat will win this year. The Spurs and Celtics were the only teams that could beat them in a 7 game series IMO. The Bulls are playing like crap and Dallas will be too weak defensively.
This is the lesson we want kids to learn: if you cant beat 'em - join 'em.

luckily this NBA gametime app updates pretty fast, sometimes even faster than when i watch it live on TV.

all they need to do is to win the next one, and they are more than capable of winning on the road
