lakers aren't looking too sharp. their defense is pretty sad and dallas is shooting pretty lights out from downtown. If peja hit any of his wide open shots, they'd be way over 50%.

Even if you don't hear any backlash, I'm hearing plenty & like I said, it amuses me b/c it's the same people who were ready go Lakers in 5. Let me make it clear, I'm not bashing all Lakers fans. Just the ones who are so confident that the Lakers possess the ability to sweep an entire playoff series & then act like they are the worst team when they lose 2 games. Bad streaks happen to everyone, Lakers aren't immune to that.
What I don't get though, is when people, especially in sports, believe that something said earlier must be chiseled out of stone and stand for all eternity.
Maybe LA fans who don't actually live in LA are just shitty fans.

If this is how it ends, I'm not unhappy. Sure maybe other Laker fans are, but 3 finals, 2 championships (after losing the best center since Kareem), and having 5 this past decade isn't a bad haul.
But its funny watching my FB friends freak out. Its all good, we'll be back.

At least there won't be rioting in LA...?

^^He's legendary and all, but that's a pretty big deficit against a team that was pretty much specifically designed to beat the Lakers.
I'm just unsure how they'll (the Mavs) do against the next teams they'll face.
Its pretty much the end of the latest Celtics/Lakers era....It'll be interesting to see how comes back first, but the Celtics pretty much admitted their run was done when they traded Perk.

I won't be THAT upset if they don't win it this year, it would be nice, but it doesn't take away from what they have done this last decade. Plus, Phil Jackson isn't going out on a shit platter if they do lose, his career has been pretty solid (duh). It must be nice to be able to put a ring on each finger and one on his....well I leave where he puts the last ring for you guys to determine.

It would've been a perfect ending to Phil's career to win it all this year. 4 threepeats, getting Michael and Kobe 6 rings a piece, just such nice round evenness to it all. I'm not saying the Lakers are completely out of it, but I'd say the odds are pretty damn slim. If (when) the mavs do pull it off, I think I'll definitely be rooting for the winner of the OKC/Memphis series against them (sorry mavs fans).

^^Phil is interesting....I think he's done with the Lakers. But if Spoelstra doesn't work out with Miami, I think Phil's name will come up. This is me saying that, not Phil. Not 'hating' on my fellow filipino, Spo either. I just think if Phil's career ends like this, he'll get the itch to come back.
