Bulls/Heat game 2 was awesome: Lebron dominated in the last 4 minutes. My only question is: Where the hell was the $75 Million dollar Boozer? I feel like Boozer this season = the biggest bust since Kwame Brown coming into the NBA.

I've had a lukewarm impression of Boozer as well...his season, at best, is incomplete.

I also think that given his injuries throughout the year, he had not really gotten into a comfort level with Thibs' offensive and defensive schemes...I'm hoping next season will be better.

Then again, I'm banking on him being injured at some point next season too.

But, given his past record (from prior seasons), his stats are decent and there is no reason why he won't get better.

The biggest bust? Quite a statement.

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/carlos...eer_stats.html

As you can see his stats truly aren't down that much from last year at Utah, and are pretty comparable to his career totals

Kevin Durant's head was above the rim.

I couldn't watch before the middle of the 3rd, but someone tell me why Westbrook was benched the whole 4th.

If I had to venture a guess though, he's been trying to take over games by himself the whole playoffs. Bullshit shots and forced drives. Coach Brooks may have had enough?

I'll give credit to the Heat to playing a nice defensive game and stepping up the rebounding...but, overall...the win was not that epic.

Bulls destroying Miami in Game 1 > Miami's win in Game 2.

+1. Bulls shooting 34% and terrible free throw shooting lost the game. This wasn't some "breakout" Miami win. Bulls can blame themselves for this loss. I'm not worried after this loss to be honest.

The backup PG was playing pretty good apparently. Harden was killing it so I think the coach didn't need to bring in Westbrook for more offense.

^ I scrolled down at that link to his Career Playoff numbers, and despite having played nearly the same amount of minutes as last year, his numbers are slightly worse - overall his performance in the Playoffs has been declining since 06-07.

I take back the statement that he's as big a bust as Kwame Brown - I can admit to Boozer being one of the best PF's in the league, but for a $75 mil contract, I expected more.

Boozer is the highest paid player on their team. But that's because Rose and Noah are still under rookie contracts (Noah's extension kicks in next year). But to not play the 4th is kind of crazy. Hard to pull Gibson though since he's been a firecracker.

SMH @ OKC .. Couldn't buy a damn 3pt. When I quit watching, they were 0/15, which I believe is the worst all-time.

That was too close. This is not a regular season game; Mavs need to stop blowing 10-20 point leads when they start heading towards the final quarter. Tired of watching them try to shoot for 3's when covered so well.

Dirk did well, but we owe this win to Marion's work.

4th Qtr was partially OKC's fault. They looked way too eager & fouled the wrong guys to the foul line. They also kept going after 3's they weren't hitting; 1 of those was just awful, not even close to the bucket. 1-17 3s hit.

Russell Westbrook is gonna get a lashing from the critics. No offense but 14 turnovers as a PG is terrible no matter how you look at it.

Surprised no new replies yet after last night's game. Great game by Bosh. I can't believe our FG% was over 50. Gotta win Tuesday to maintain the homecourt.

Anyone see Noah pull a Kobe? It was on You Tube like minutes after he said it. He apologized for it but will probably get fined. Man if TNT doesn't stick a camera on him then another non-story.

Nice move by TNT to set up their show outside of the arena where fans can yell at Barkley. I heard "Barkley sucks", "No rings", and "DUI". Plus a drunk idiot tossed a shirt at him and Barkley started yelling at the crowd and said he was going to pay somebody hell. Someone called in a radio show this morning and said we should sign the guy who tossed the shirt because he has better accuracy than Mike Miller.

I didn't actually see Noah say the homophobic slur, but in his after game interview, he admitted to it so I wouldn't be surprised if he got a fine.

On a related note, one of the (NBA promoted) commercials during the game had Grant Hill discussing the subject matter - I guess the NBA is taking a hard line stance against using gay slurs. Times have changed - I myself used to use the terms "fag" and "gay" all the time with my friends (back in high school/college), but with the heightened sensitivity in the past 10 or so years, I have also stopped using such words.

The bigger worry for Joakim Noah (and the rest of the Bulls) is what the hell they're supposed to do when Rose is doubled - Heat haven't lost at Home in the post season so I have a feeling they'll take Game 4.

In Game 2, Heat haters and Chicago fans said they didn't think it was a good win by the heat because Chicago shot low FG% and had open looks, and blah blah blah....Miami then comes out in Game 3 and shoots a high FG% and now Heat haters and Chicago fans will say oh well the heat got lucky, they just had a good shooting game.

I think it's time to give the Heat some credit here...

too much? too little? I remember specifically saying $100k was too much for Kobe, because it set too high a precedent if some "lesser" player made the same infraction. I honestly thought Noah would get $100k too, just because the precedent was set, and it's not like Noah is making the minimum salary.

^^Kobe's was directed at a ref though hence the extra 50k (supposedly).

Haven't been in on this thread in awhile, but like I've said before, the Heat are the scariest team in the playoffs.

I still believe it, now that Bosh quit thinking too much and being a bitch (like Gasol of 2008.... and 2011, lol) and Lebron finally learned to save his energy for the clutch parts of the game.

I'll add that Dirk though, is the scariest player in the playoffs. Wow, wunderkind. That'll be a great Finals if it were to happen between these 2 teams. Lots of good storylines and history there, and great ball to be played.

yea that was pretty painful to watch. Westbrook is really showing his age more than anyone else on the team, and without Harden on the floor, there just aren't enough weapons in the half court. They looked like they were trying to milk the clock instead of playing their game. Dallas is playing pretty good D though, and doing a pretty good job denying KD the ball as much as possible, so gotta give it up to them.

All I have to say is I REALLY hope it's not a Mavs/HEAT finals, because I just couldn't root for either team.

Without Harden in, they literally had no plan whatsoever on offense lol.

teams as young as the bulls and thunder never win championships the first go-round, they come back later and win them. it kind of takes the suspense out of the equation. both teams showed exactly why playing tough veteran teams.

my gut feeling is that the heat will take the mavs. what irony that would be after the heats start to the season. i want the mavs to win though.
