I hope we pick up someone. Winning a series in LA is pretty awesome and at least we're in it for the wild card. Philly is red hot.

No way. Greg Maddux was always a super low ERA, unhittable guy. Buehrle is good but he's no Maddux.

Buerhle has 2 no hitters now, one of them a perfect game.

But yea, Buerhle is not even close to Maddux. Maddux is a future hall of famer

Yea, It's first 9 seasons. Buerhle stats are from 2000-2008. My fault I labeled it wrong.

Now I wonder if I labeled Maddux stats wrong or just added the extra year? Aww fuck it, my head hurts now.

I'm exaggerating. Obviously not the same...Mad Dog's record speaks for itself. But, if there was a pitcher playing right now that kinda reminds me of Maddux, it's Buerhle.

I'm rather surprised no one has stepped up to try and get Halladay...

Jay's are asking for a lot. They want what Philly has, but Philly doesn't want to give it up

The source of contention is Drabek, right? Is the kid really the next sure thing and has a higher ceiling that Halladay...?

I'm sure Halladay will go b4 the deadline. No reason the Jays will hold on to him.

I'd ask for a lot too if I were the Jays. Unfortunately for them, Philly is on fire. If Philly was losing like crazy but barely in 1st or near 1st, I think they'd pull the trigger.

I was thinking before with how good the Phils have been lately that they could settle for Lee and save some prospects. Although the 4 prospects they did send to Cleveland were all rated as top 10 prospects in their system.

So there goes the whole Lee/Martinez package that they were talking about. I'd say they'll keep him now since they say all these prospects could be ready for the majors next year.

I wonder what happens to Halladay now?

Phils kept Happ and Drabek so if Lee works out they'll look brilliant and could repeat.

I like the trade for Lee. We didn't have to give up the farm to get a starter who can help solidify the rotation right away. I'd love to have Halliday but the cost is too high.

Will he be able to walk from the pen to the mound without a walker?

Long live the bullpen cars!

Sure, Buerhle's streak and no-no were wonderful...but the ChiSox follow up those by getting swept by the Twips...!?

i watch just about every Blue Jay game. Halladay is incredible and i would ask for a lot too if i were JP, their GM. but, if this happens again next year and he's still a Jay at the trade deadline and they let him walk, i'll be soooo pissed
