yea i agree that they're hurting themselves. and it's not like the 90s braves that had $ to burn.

not just that, hanson may turn out to be the real deal. but now, the braves are kind of in a situation where they're forced to play him even if he's not ready yet because they've pretty much sent the message that they let glavine go for the new kid.

with this and smoltzie, i'm surprised they even signed chipper back. if they had traded chipper away,

You know Chipper was going wild when he heard about this whole Glavine thing

I keep hearing they're trying to trade Francoeur but nobody will take him.

I wonder if this will make him mad enough to demand a trade later in the year when the Braves are sucking

I can't see it happening, but hey crazier things have happened

I think this all started when Schuerholz left the GM spot and Frank Wren took over. Not sure if they are to blame but since then the Braves haven't been doing so well.

there was a time when i thought i'd never see glavine, smoltz, and chipper in another uniform.

i've been hearing on the radio that things have indeed changed since wren took over the GM spot. it's a shame because schuerholz really ran a classy organization.

Maybe the Braves became "less classy" when their owners decided to cut back on salary.

I think Glavine is more pissed that they sent him out to pitch that minor league rehab game, then they cut him. He's claiming they knew before hand that they were going to cut him but sent him out there as an attraction.

FYI they're 11th in payroll. They're not exactly the Marlins.

I really wish Joey Votto would get better...our offense is garbage right now.

I don't know what "stress issues" he has, but they must be pretty damn bad because they're still saying it'll be weeks until he comes back.

Also what Zack Grienke had.

Votto's Dad died last year so from what I hear it has something to do with that.

So I hear Quentin will miss more time. Can any Sox fans give me some info? I picked him up off waivers thinking I got away with murder but then the Yahoo blurb said he could really fuck up his foot if he continues training.

Yeah, plantar fasciitis. And Thome's out for the next 6 days. Nogloveitis

Joe Mauer's hitting .429. They're asking Gardenhire if he can hit .400 and he says, "How about .500? He's approaching that number faster."

I read today that they are on track to hit 100 home runs this season as a team. They need some power.

Ouch! Phillies just put Ibanez on the 15 day DL for a strained groin. He's been one of our best players all year. They recalled Mayberry from AAA to take his spot.

I would go so far as saying that the Phillies will not be in first without him. At 37, a groin strain may take a bit more that 15 days.

Oh snap, Ibanez got hurt. Not good as he picked up J-Roll's slack hitting wise and then some. One of few major athletes to come out of my high school. Torrence Marshall LB from Oklahoma then Green Bay and golfer Christie Kerr. FYI, Kerr is pretty hot now but in high school she was probably 100lbs heavier with a jeri curl. I was friends with her but didn't try to date her for obvious reasons. Plus her dad was my 5th grade teacher. Ok enough stupid trivia but Kerr is pretty hot. Here's my reward for reading.

One more FYI, if you google Christie Kerr you get this pic. That site has a top 5 for female golfers. One of them has a nude calendar.

I was in Chicago for the Cubs/Twins series last weekend - Cubs fans should be ashamed so many MN's got tix. It was seriously 60/40 fan distribution all three games, it was awesome!
