Like I said, I'll be happy if they take 2 - even though I originally thought it was a 3 game series

I still don't see how anyone can be loyal to that franchise.

They're still 4.5 games up, with the best record in the NL. Worse comes to worst, they'll at least get the wildcard

And, yeah. It's easier to post when your teams magic number is single digits .

Well, the fact that Harden's "not feeling comfy" which eerily reminds me of MarkPriorKerryWood-speak for "I'm injured"...and Big Z has some issues with his elbow.

I am actually cynically SATISFIED that the Cubs are hitting a slump. Why? Because often times those quieting teams get hot right when they need to, and win it all; Cards, White Sox, D'Backs. Similarly, the Rockies (although they didn't win) and Marlins are 2 examples of hot teams at the end of the regular season. The Cubs WILL make the playoffs; mathematically it would take the biggest downfall in baseball history to not allow that.

White Sox/Twins is going down to the wire. Sox have some key injuries.

Well, the longer it stays this close, the more it may swing towards the Twips' favor esp. if it comes down to that pivotal series at the Minny.

Than again, I do recall how the ChiSox slapped around the yappy Indians in 2005 in the final week.

^ My badgering wasn't enough

We showed up just in time to watch Soriano hit the 1st of his three HR's, then Marquis rubbed alcohol in the wound with one of his own

Oh, and it was easily a 5 to 1 ratio of Cubs fans to Reds fans...probably more

Oh quit your whining...at least you didn't watch your closer blow the game.

Why, if it weren't for the fact that my Bears have a better record than your Bungals today...I'd be so, so, so...ANGRY!

Just a thought, why do the Dodgers play Andruw Jones? The guy is friggin horrible. I understand that they paid them $10 mil a year or whatever, but playing him won't win them ball games.

Just a rant because I'm a Matt Kemp fan.

Dodgers better make the playoffs to have that Manny trade work out for them. They could do damage there because they have depth in the outfield. That team in an AL ballpark with a DH would be a nice lineup.

Yeah, I don't know if it's a pride thing or what. I guess they were thinking he was going to turn it around, but it's already this late in the year...he ain't never turning it around.

And did anybody not see this coming? I remember in the off-season when he said something about not working out and eating whatever he wanted because when he was too skinny the year before and it was taking away his power

I don't think I've ever liked him since he came up.

Oh, and that sucks for the Mets fans about Billy Wagner. Think they'll make a run at K-Rod in the off-season?

Well, if K-Rod does one more finger point into the sky and scream, I hope some giant seagull on his wide-opened mouth.

C'mon...it's a freakin' save. You'd think he won Game 7 of the WS or something.

I don't see any seagulls flying over the stadium...

Edit - I waited for it... was almost hoping along with you
