Thank-you, John Danks.

bgsm1th and Squirrel-Breath: Thank-you for playing! But, at least take consolation that the Twips absolutely brought it all year with a team no one predicted would go anywhere.

And to the World Series Champs, Tigers: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA...

As much as I respect the Twips for the fight they put up, I did get some smug satisfaction watching them stare blankly as the ChiSox celebrated on the field because well, Chicago's going to have an ACTUAL chance to get to the WS...

Conversely, Minny celebrated last week's sweep of the Sox as if they'd won the World Series. Teehee.

I will say I'm happy for Griffey...you know he won't take this postseason for granted.

And a nice catch by A.J. on that two-hopper from Griffey with a guy coming full-speed to take his head off. One of the hardest plays in baseball IMO.

I really feel bad Illinorge: Vikings Suck, Twins are out, (our) Illini can't defend, both the NBA and NHL team are awful, AND his Presidential candidate isn't going to win in November, either.

I was fortunate to see some of the game and see that Griffey throw. Nice play by AJ as well. That was the play of the season for Chicago. Like I said, props to Minny as they "shouldn't have been there". Us small market teams put a scare sometimes.

Props to the White Sox for winning the last 3 games when they had to. Danks was good, but the Twins were awful. Morneau picked a bad time to go into a king-size slump. Blackburn was amazing for a "lucky" rookie pitching in that environment. One coin toss, one hanging change-up is all that separated the two teams over 162 games.

Conversely, Minny celebrated last week's sweep of the Sox as if they'd won the World Series. Teehee.
It was a walk-off win. All teams do that.

You should've seen Milwaukee, especially Braun, last week. Every HR was a Kirk Gibson.

Milwaukee is very dangerous. Today's game is huge for Philly, not so much for the Brewers because they are holding Sabathia for later. After last year's sweep starting at home, the Phillies are really going to feel it (and hear it) if they fall behind this year.

FYI, Philly has beaten Milwaukee 8 out of 9 times this year.

Keys to the Cubbies chances:

- Soriano and Ramirez are not flaming retards and trying to stat-pad by swinging for the fences instead of just making contact and getting on-base.
- Zambrano is the Big Z that resembles the guy who threw the no-hitter and not the other dude who flamed out towards the end.
- Harden stays healthy and available to pitch deep into the postseason.

Looks like the Twins offense flew to Philly and are masquerading as the Brewers.

It was Hamels. Today's the game the Brew crew needs with C.C. And that the Dodgers beat the Cubs.

The Cubs had lost their last 6 playoff games. Losing the 7th was no surprise. Also, the Red Sox have beaten the Angels 10 straight times. There's no such thing as being "due" in baseball.
