Only thing I worry about with Harden...

I like Gaudin though.

Well, when your starting QB is Livan Hernandez....

Come on Twins, a healthy Liriano is waiting in the wings.

They had to make it interesting the last 2 days though. They should be hitting HR's left and right against this team.

Plus they should stick Alexei Ramírez higher in the batting order and stick Konerko at the end or in AAA until he learns how to hit.

I'm sure they could get someone who hits better than .214 in the 6 hole.

He's the worst 1st basemen in batting average in the major leagues with 200+ at bats, hell you could even reduce that to 83+ at bats.

I'd go 82, but then Ben Broussard is hitting a nice BUCK FIFTY NINE.

I hope the trade for Hardin pays off. Also what's happened to Derek Lee? ..he's been stuck on 15 homers for ages..

8 homes in April, 5 in May, 2 in June, 0 in July...... isn't that opposite of his normal trend?

Zambrano is the man, and he got another basehit which lowered his BA to a cool .358....

Konerko was 0-for-3 with 3K's last night when Harrelson noted that he looked really good swinging the bat Tuesday night. He went 1-for-5 Tuesday night.

So obviously you are wrong. And Joe Crede is the best third baseman in MLB.

Joe Crede is the 3rd best HITTING 3rd basemen in MLB (besides chipper and a-rod).

yes hes had some issues with errors this year but its a fluke... the guy has some of the most amazing defensive plays at 3rd base in the last 4 years.

And Thome seems to be getting his stroke back...all we need is Paulie to get back to what he's capable of and we just may have a team that matches the 2005 WS version.

Mind you, this team is already doing some nice work considering their offense is kinda meh when it comes to batting average.

Crede's batting .260 16HR 49RBI

The following players have arguably better overall stats:

ARod
David Wright
Miguel Cabrera
Aramis Ramirez
Chipper Jones
Garrett Atkins
Mike Lowell
Evan Longoria
Jorge Cantu
Aubrey Huff (I think he's DHing though)
Mark Reynolds

I like Crede and he's on my fantasy team. He's a good power hitter but his career batting average is around .260.

Not today!

Ted Lilly and the boys are allowing your Reds to feel good about themselves for one game. I mean, when you have Dempster and Zambrano hold Cincy to a .065 average (or something like that) over a span of 2 days...OUCH!

Ah well...I guess I'm fine with your Twits beating the Whiggers for a game...I don't mind seeing Detroit pushed further back either. But, of course, my preference would've been your team...

Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Here's hoping they kill each other in this series.

Okay...but, it was against the Tigers and please remember, the ChiSox padded their numbers nicely by spanking them up and down the baseball diamond when they played each other too.

Sooooo...I guess it's no big accomplishment for your Twits to beat them.

The Tigers are much better now, even without Magglio Ordonary. You'll see when you have to play them some 10 times from here on.

It IS a big accomplishment to come from 6-2 down after blowing three straight in Boston. You thought a Tigers win was a done deal.....

Well c'mon. Any competent team in the League should be able to beat another if they are up by 4 runs late in the game. Who knew that the BEST TEAM BASEBALL MONEY COULD BUY would be so -ish and lose to your ON PAPER inferior team?

I was really just following the press hype. Bad move on part. My bad. I'll actually never underestimate your team again when they play Detroit...Actually...any team. I think even the Mariners could slap the Tigers around.

And no worries...I actually look forward to when Detroit plays Chicago. I think the ChiSox has Detroit's number for the last couple'll seasons.

That's better. You've been properly rebuked. The Twins are inferior on paper to most AAA teams. Kevin Slowey? Breslow? Guerrier FTW? Nick Punto? Denard Span? The Twins batted a washed up backup catcher in the 3-hole today.

Justin Morneau 5-for-5, GW HR.

And no worries...I actually look forward to when Detroit plays Chicago. I think the ChiSox has Detroit's number for the last couple'll seasons.
I'm still afraid of Detroit. Which is good because they'll be battling Chicago for second place in September. Let's hope Sheffield is still on the DL so I don't have any problems pulling for them.

Naw...as much as it would've been nice to see your Twips fall further back of the ChiSox...watching the GREATEST TEAM MONEY CAN BUY AND 2008-2009 WORLD SERIES CHAMPS choke to a team of no-names is just as good.

Heck...if your team won all 4 against Detroit wouldn't be a terrible thing either. After all, I'm sure the ChiSox can take care of the Twips again just like last time if the meet up later in the season.

So...yeah. Sweep the Whiggers.

stats vs all 3B in the MLB

#18 in AB's (so he's had less opportunities to hit/score than most other guys in consideration)

#7 in HR's

#11 in RBI's

#27 in SO (lower rank is good in this case)

and yes he's only batting .260 right now but hey.... the team is scoring, they are winning and he just got into his 1st AS game so he's doing something right.

Also compared to 3B in the AL he's tied for 2nd in HR's , 4th in RBI's and #7th in slugging.

He might be semi-slumping right now but he's a quality 3B who if he stays healthy and consistent is a clutch performer. Any guy who's on pace for 32-35 HR's is frickin good in my eyes, despite batting .260

No way Crede is an All-Star. Only you and Harrelson believe that. Francona put him on the team because only one White Sox would have been too embarassing.

And thanks to America, neither is Dye (although I did vote for him).

pshhhhh yeah thats an intelligent statement.

If Francona wanted to put one on just to make it look better... he'd have picked Dye over Crede... hell, I'm a HUGE Crede fan and I would have picked Dye over him.
