But who cares?! The Red Sox are en fuego - 11 games in a row, tied with the AL record for consecutive error-less games and not showing signs of quitting.

Oh, and the AL makes the NL look AAA.
The Red Sox are putting it together too soon. They need to lose before they get all tired out. You really don't want to put a streak together like this till Late July early August. I think Pedro was paid off , he's been pitching incredible all year and all of the sudden he gets to Boston and doesnt know how to pitch.

The Yankees better be careful or they'll look up and the season will be over. Besides, the allstar break is right around the corner, so rest for everybody.

Yesterday was strange. It was almost like Pedro was going easy on people, but we all know he wouldn't do that, except maybe to Ortiz and Manny. I thought the problem was that he wasn't pitching inside as a courtesy, and was suffering because he couldn't control the plate, but then he threw that ball at Loretta. Who knows - when he's on, he's on, but he has his shaky moments...

believe it or not, all pitchers will have a bad game once in awhile. But your probably right, Boston and Fenway don't produce a lot of runs.

The AL Central is annihilating the NL Central. The Twins have gone 15-1 and have gained 1/2 game in the standings. They just held the NL's best hitting team, the Dodgers, to 7 runs in three games at the Dome. The Tigers have turned the Astros into a Cape Cod League team in 2 days, not to mention what the White Sox and Detroit did to the heralded Cardinals.

Check out your paper's Last 10 column. The Padres and Marlins are the only NL teams to be above .500 at 6-4. The Indians are the only team below .500. The Red Sox are blitzing everybody that has their pitchers "hit". No wonder Clemens went back to the NL--he's just a couple weeks early.

He actually has a great arm, with decent accuracy. And he somehow manages to pull pretty impressive catches out of his ass.

It's the routine pop-ups that he has problems with.

They had a pretty crazy stat up on sportscenter yesterday - Detroit, the ChiSox and the Twins have all been 9-1 in their last 10 (some were actually 14 of 15, etc) but it's obviously all a wash in the standings. That has to be tough for Twins fans...

He led it last year too (or at least did for most of the season IIRC). Was at the game Tuesday when he gunned down Reyes.

The best part is he doesn't even look like he's trying when he throws - no running starts or anything, though I'm guessing the short left field probably helps with that a bit

Liriano and Santana will stop any team. Also, most of the games have been at home for the AL. If you look, Cleveland played away and SD and FL played at home.

However, right now, the NL is slumping in general. The Royals even have a better record than the Cards this past week.

Maybe he's headed for a stint on the DL ??

That's been his Modus Operandi after a bad start in the past...

First thing I thought of too. Whenever he has trouble getting his fastball into the 90s a DL "rest" usually follows.

Seriously, he was just waiting for Reyes to run on him and he didn't even wind up or nothing and just flung a strike to Varitek. Then that catch against the left field foul line wall. I think maybe the dirty dreads are helping him

They can't keep it up!

And we all know their "great" record against the top tier teams in the AL (ChiSox, Yanks, and BoSox).

An NL fan. Sorry about the whole interleague play thing. It has only proven the AL as a superior league.

BTW, a NYY fan.

I think he is tied with Ichiro and Melky Cabrera. they just showed the stats on outfield assists last week. No one runs on Ichiro so he only has 7 or 8 assists. Everyone runs on the rookie Melky till they realize he can throw, which he could. He woudla had another assist against the braves if posada caught the ball. Runners run on Manny thinking he is too casual out there - "manny being manny" - but he has a decent left fielders arm - not a great one though.

Remember that NESN commercial they used to play with all the "real people" w/ that one kid that said "did you just see the catch that coco made" ??

Well, they aired it alot when he was on the DL (after playing for like a week or two)...

I guess we'll have to endure watching that commercial again now... since he finally made a catch that's commercial worthy...

I like the guy dressed up in the fireman outfit... But the "He's so intense on the mound", and "He's got heart" comments are pretty lame...

Very lame. It's good to see Coco making plays like this though. Damon never would have got to that ball.

Would've been funny.

I was right. The streak stopped but we should've won Game 3 for the series. See you in the Series.

Yeah, it was a pretty interesting weekend... (cept for saturdays game)...

Yesterday's game was too close for comfort...

Hanley looks good... he looked awful in the couple of games he played with boston last september...

Willis looks phenomenal on the mound... he'd look better in a RedSox uniform but I don't want to see any more propects going to the Marlins...

OK. I'm here, Greenie. But I'd rather not talk about yesterday. Just leave me alone.

Like the Marlins left 13 men stranded alone.

Yankees won by 2 touchdowns & a 2 point conversion last night
Was that crown LOUD! My first Yankee/met game I've been to. Not even the redsox/yankee home opener last season I went to was this loud.
Go gayrod! I wonder who lit the fire under his ass.

Francisco Liriano: 10-1, 1.83 ERA, 102 K's. Not an All-Star.

Man, Liriano, Josh Johnson, and Jered Weaver. Are rookie pitchers that hard to hit?

And Kerry's out another month.
