Francona gets votes because they have run support? Not to be a homer but we're supposed to lose 100 games and go for the worst record ever. How many rookie debuts have we had and we're closing on .500. There is a fine line between judging if it's because of managing or the actual talent. If anything Larry Beinfest, our GM, should get GM of the year.

Okay. So, I'm -ing a little bit. Key word: little.
But, they will prevail. Still have a hold of the Wild Card spot.

Another wonderful A-Rod article, making fun of Yankees fans of course and taking a quick shot at Jeter (worse numbers than A-Rod at the plate):

So, The Sporting News moves into our building and they leave out free issues. Well, I read some sweet quotes. Here's a couple.
And you massholes will love this one.
Aubrey Huff's first question when he arrived in Houston via a trade from Tampa Bay: "Who are those people sitting there watching us play?"
When asked if the Red Sox can catch the surprising Tigers for the A.L.'s best record, Manny Ramirez tells reporters, "Ain't no Canadian team gonna finish in front of us."

LOL
I subscribe to TSN and it's a great magazine. Since they use local affiliate sources (local beat writers usually), the information is great. A lot of the rumors on one issue, end up true by the next.

I think I like Manny so much because he's able to look so damn casual through it all. It just all looks so effortless. I know he puts in a ton of time taking BP, but I think he is incredibly gifted, naturally. Manny epitomizes laid back cool.
