Yumchah, Prior still has a chance. I wish Wood could have stayed healthier more throughout his career, it would have been interesting to see how good he could have been.
Not that his career is over or anything, but he's lost a lot of time already...

Wood - trade (while you can still get somehting for him)
Maddux - nearing end of career, but still going strong
Zambrano - #1 starter

Just did our league's draft, I might have gotten the greatest all time line up.
Varitek, Jason C BOS
Konerko, Paul 1B CHW
Giles, Marcus 2B ATL
Beltre, Adrian 3B SEA
Jeter, Derek SS NYY
Griffey, Ken CF CIN
Lee, Carlos N. LF MIL
Suzuki, Ichiro RF SEA
Tracy, Chad UTIL ARI
My pitchers weren't all that great, but I think I can manage.

Your line-up "could" be solid. Couple red flags since some of your older fogies could break down at any time (Varitek and Griffey). Never been completely sold on Beltre either and I've been tracking his career since he was a teenager.
Do you have any sleepers or value picks? You know ... young un's who are flying under the radar? Those are the guys that make the difference between winning a fantasy league and merely participating in one.
Should've done your homework on Chad Tracy ... he had decent break-out season in 2005 (27-72-.308) but could be in the 30-100-.300 neighborhood this year. He plays in a nice hitter's park in AZ and for what it's worth, had a strong spring training to boot.

Yea, I saw the write up on Tracy online, looked like he had some potential, however, Aramis Ramirez was a Free Agent and I had to grab him.
Only real young un I picked up was Felix Hernandez, he isn't a real unknown though.
This is my pitching rotation:
Bedard, Erik SP BAL
Contreras, Jose A. SP CHW
Davis, Doug SP MIL
Halladay, Roy SP TOR
Hernandez, Felix SP SEA
Nathan, Joe RP MIN
Valverde, Jose RP ARI
Griffey will always be on my fantasy teams, because he is my favorite player. He had an amazing spring and WBC, so hopefully he can stay healthy and have another .300, 35, 100 year.
Upon further review of my reserves, I just swapped the waivers for Ramirez with Mike Cameron.....

I'm a big Griffey, Jr. fan too and hope he has a solid, injury-free season.
Your pitchers are nice. I like Halladay (probably the second best pitcher in the AL behind Santana; a lot of variables are in his favor: Toronto has upgrades in offense and closer). Your closers are solid too (Valverde should have a big year closing full-time; he's also in the phase of his career where he's pitching for big contracts down the line so that's an extra source of motivation for him to do well). King Felix is supposedly the second coming up in Seattle. But I think everyone's on his bandwagon so as you've said, he isn't really an unknown anymore.
A lot of people like Bedard too because 1) he was lights-out during the first half of 2005; 2) he now has Leo Mazzone on his side; 3) he's 27 and entering that so-called "prime." I'm not completely sold tho, mostly because of his track-record (injuries) and the simple fact that he'll be pitching a bunch of games against tough AL East competition. I actually have Daniel Cabrera (picked him up in the later, later rounds) in one of my leagues who is one of those guys with great "stuff" but not a real good idea how to put everything together.
There seems to be a lot of optimism in Milwaukee so Doug Davis could be good for 15-17 wins and 200 K's. A lot of people thought he was a one-year wonder last year but he actually had a solid year in 2004. Ugh. I'm too biased (being in NYC) to speak highly about Jose Contreras ... he showed so much potential pitching here but was a big tease. It seems he has his shit together tho. I still hope his arm literally falls off, a la Dave Dravecky.

Turner Field in ATL has 2 season tickets for the upper deck for $250 which is a really good deal.. also there is a "Lexus" level which is really nice and it's 4 season tickets for $1000-$1200, which is amazing also

I like your pitchers but only 2 closers? Last year I drafted probably 6 closers because some of the "studs" end up to be duds. Scottie knows one in Danny Graves. Plus I had Dan Kolb who could've gotten 60 saves in the Atl. These guys are dangerous to bank on unless you got Mo or Hoffman.
Varitek - one of the few producing catchers out there
Konerko - solid
Giles - solid IF stays healthy. Now that he leads off hopefully he'll steal you bases.
Beltre - I don't like this guy since he didn't do much till his free agent year. Then with Sexson protecting him, he disappears. Get another 3B just in case.
Jeter - always solid hitting and good power for position
Griffey - obvious red flags but I like Cinci's lineup
Lee - could be traded so might have something to prove.
Ichiro - the man
Tracy - I don't know much about about him.
Great insight from you guys. I'm looking forward to discussing this year's season with some of you AZers.

Chicago takes the lead and then Thome slams a 2 run bomb..."Welcome to Chicago"
That definitely helped spark the night after a 3 hour rain delay...

Is that format new this year? It actually looks alot like the cbs one. I'll check 'em out when things get moving.
...and you reminded me of my secret mlb.com password I have. I wonder if it still works from last season. Watching live games on my monitor > watching simulations.
