Well, here's hoping the Big Z can find the strikezone in his next outing...he was today. Mind you Cincy was worse...but still...

Yeah batting practice....
Some good things though.
RJ was consistant. He had is control, & speed.
Bernie showing he's improved his hitting. Taking him from the outfield has done some good.
That 1-6 batting order is a killer.
Cano picked up where he left off. Although since he was caught stealling I wonder if his speed has suffered.

Cano was never really that fast , he has above average speed but he won't be stealing 30 bases regardless. That throw from Kendall would of gotten anybody out, it was a sick throw. Matsui's homer was awesome it was a shot and looked effortless. Damon seemed a bit nervous for his 1st game but he looked good.

Gooden sentenced to year in prison for drug use
Associated Press
TAMPA, Fla. -- Former baseball star Dwight Gooden was sentenced Wednesday to a year and a day in prison for violating his probation by using cocaine, the latest legal trouble for the once-dominant pitcher.
With credit for time already served in jail and a drug treatment facility, Gooden likely will spend about 7½ months in state prison, said his attorney, Peter Hobson.

This was my favorite part:
Nicole just doesn't understand metaphysics
"I can't wait to disappear," he says. "I'd disappear today if I could."
Does anybody else think he'll eventually start his own cult and have a mass suicide on

Opening Day for the Sox is like a holiday for us Massholes...Beckett tends to have a record of having a little bit of a tough start to games, but he definitely has great stuff. Like we saw in game 6 of the 2003 ws, cg 5 hits, 2 bb with 9 k's against a very potent Yankees lineup. Lets not forget that he was 22 when he came through in the ws.
