You're not in trouble until you lose on home ice.

That is all.

Your words can't hurt me. I've moved past that loss and am looking forward to next season.

And it was a 4-1 lead with 10 minutes left. Don't forget the 10 minutes left part.

Memo to the Dallas North Stars:

A new (ugly) uniform is not gonna fix the bad team you have.
Rebuild first, then try a new uniform.

....or better yet, stick with the one you have it's not bad...but the new one is.

Tyler Toffoli makes the cover of SI

Poor kid.
I can only imagine the razzing he's getting for this in the locker room.
Players are gonna be stuffing this magazine cover in his bag, hotel room sheets, in his jersey....pretty much everywhere he goes.

I know I would.

It really is amazing, guy was unbelievable for us in the regular season, including when they went perfect in March, but just blows in the playoffs. I wanted to blame it on his kid being born right before the playoffs, then I thought back to the last few post-seasons where he didn't have kids

LA and Chicago not even close to done.

Accuse? It's fact. I am being negative because as a Leaf fan, my glass is always half full. And I am assuming Pittsburgh will lose. But considering the mess between their pipes it's a pretty damn good assumption.

^ Can we agree the Pens have goalies that are MORE name-brand than Chicago?

And I put Cory Crawford right up there with Patrick Roy in his prime.

Well, Vokoun was the reason you, Waldorf, and I got into this e-fight anyhow. I recall very clearly that back in 2009 how you guys said Chicago should've traded for Vokoun and I told you guys to take a hike and that the Hawks could win without a name-brand goalie like him.

...and lookit what Vokoun is doing for Pittsburgh now: beating the Isles and Sens.

Shannnananaban I expected this kind of stupid from you.

Swing away fellow NHL players!!!
If you are not a repeat offender, you won't get a suspension or fine.

If you are a repeat offender, you'll get one game.
A small price to pay for being able to swing your stick at someone's head.

So, you know what's gonna happen this off-season, right? Shero will trade for another big-name player who wants a chance at the Cup with Sid a la goalie.

5 robots says it may be Louuuuuuu.

Well okay...I just would find it funny if it were Louuuu...

But, seriously...any name-brand goalie going to Pittsburgh would be a basketcase if the Pens don't fix their defensive scheme. I love how the forwards don't backcheck whatsoever...all they think about is the HR play and scoring a goal.

So in the leagues eyes swinging a stick maliciously to the head is less threatening than a shoulder to the head?!?!?! (Torres/Stoll)

Seems like horse to me.

I'm really surprised that he got away with a 1 game suspension, he should be out at least the rest of this round for a move like that.

Those are my thoughts as well.

...but were talking about Shannananban who has been the leagues disciplinary clown since day one on the job.

...and the "explanation" vid gives ZERO explanation.

What we learned here is: Swing away fellas, swing away!

Sorry Waldorf.

Tis the reality of the NHL. But, let's say...if the refs called Carter for his nice slash on Keith's wrists, would Keith have "accidentally" done dental work on him?

I would argue no. The officiating stinks...

And c'mon...if Malkin got nothing for tomahawking someone over the skull, 1 game, all things considered, is pretty harsh.

How would Duncan Sheik not swing for Carter if the ref raised his hand on the slash call? How would he see the refs hand go up? It was a split second move on Sheik's part.

Come now, be serious.

It's not the officiating, it's Shannanban, who many clowns around here thought was going to be the savior of the league.

Bunch of suckers.

There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to his disciplinary rulings whatsoever.
Shannanaban makes the league look like amateur hour.

I guess it helps if you are lucky and good at the same time.

Wow, what a game, now this is the Pens team we all were expecting in the series.

The series is not quite technically over for Pittsburgh...but, alas, it is inevitable.

Iggy and Morrow: Try again. Pick a team that employs team defense next time.

Credit must also be due to the Bruins for absolutely shutting down Sid and Malkin. It's too bad both were not great defensively either even if they were struggling on the offense-side. Boston is going to be a scary team in the Cup Finals be it against LA or Chicago.

Perhaps this is why it is better for fans not to be total d-bags as other teams are eliminated.
