What a goalie duel between Price and Crawford tonight.
@ Chicago losing in OT though...

6 years without playoffs.
If there was a few more weeks in the season, I'd say they would make it. Reimer looks to be their future, next year has some promise for better years to come.

It seriously sucks not having playoff hockey.
My early prediction for the playoffs. Caps vs Canucks in the final.

Well, you try playing the stretch run without 2 key players...and compound that with make-shift 3rd and 4th lines.
Not really keys for success.
And Vancouver?
Sure. They'll sweep Chicago. Rose is also not an NBA star.
Senior Moderator
Never said sweep. It will be a hard fought 5 game series.
Senior Moderator
Why give Chicago even 1 win? Canucks in 4...Cup winners too.
Senior Moderator
Malhotra was a big loss for Vancouver; anchoring the 3rd line and winning 60%+ of faceoffs is huge...even bigger come playoffs.
And if Edler and Hamhuis injuries are season ending, yeah...I don't see it.
My picks: Philly and their no-name goalie and Detroit ( ) and their no-name goalie.

Philly? Washington has most making of a team headed for a long run. I just question the goal tending. not because they're all no names but if things do happen to get shaky will they start flipping them in and out of the net? Its not exactly settled yet is it?
And nice Jonsei imitation.

Ya they were big losses. But not as big as the Cup hangover and gutting of the roster Chicago is suffering from.

Only thing I can recall even close was the Marlins did in MLB when they won the World Series.
Washington is also possible. But, I don't like their D as much as Philly's...As for the West, I have my doubts about Vancouver...You may laugh but I think the Sharks have a better chance to represent than the Canucks.

This year, they have a goalie who is alot more reliable in Niemi...and well, that guy's been to the last dance and won it. Another big x-factor...
Vancouver...well, as great as Louuuuu is in the regular season, I just don't see him having the make-up to come up big as series get closer and games get tighter. Heck, weren't most Vancouver victories this year by big margins...? They stake Louuu to a nice lead and he has the easy job afterwards...
It'll be interesting...I think they'll get to the Semi's or Conference Finals at best.

And oh, NOT TO JINX THE PENS JONESI...but, if Crosby can come back, Pittsburgh is capable of anything.

I'd have sympathy but we've had 18 years of that crap with the Pirates. It sucks.... Although 1967 was a LONG time ago..
I agree with the Capitals, I think the system and playing D will help in the playoffs. But it's hard to picture anyone but the Wings in the Finals. They're built for the playoffs. And the Canucks seem to choke every year.

I freaking hate the Toilet Red Wings.

A game I was playing in last year.....an opposing player and a guy on our team got into it after the whistle....opposing player speared the guy on our team.....this was his 2nd incident.....turned out he ended up getting banned from USA Hockey.

If I take the serial numbers off that stick and have my receipt and it's been less than 30 days....can a get a new stick?!?!

Update:
Hawks: playoff odds down 6.8 to 79.8%
Kings: playoff odds down 0.5 to 98.9%
Stars: playoff odds up 12.8 to 37.4% ....Stars winning the hanging tough award.....which will probably end up winning the dreaded black-hole spot for the draft.

No. The peelable serial number sticker goes on the receipt when you send it to the manufacturer. The serial numbers on the stick and receipt have to match to be covered by warranty. They were losing a lot to scams.

After a rough start, they eerily remind me of last years Caps. It almost looks too easy for them and they are coasting at times, wouldn't shock me if they get upset early too. is still bitter at my prediction last year.
Oh, and sorry bout your Leafs. The Habs and Leafs are my favorite teams to host in Hockeytown -- sooo much fun. Too bad it happens so rarely.
