Crying in the corner due to the losses of williams and kopi

Pffft...I'm still sobbing over the losses of Sharp and Bolland. We all have much grief this year...I think all the regulars in this thread (and Bugs Bunny does not count since he's a snob now with his M3) have had major injuries to their rosters...

Absolutely monumental game for Chicago tonight...They desperately need to capture at least another 8-9 points to secure a spot. Otherwise, no post-season.
I think it'll take at least 96 points to clinch. @ Western Conference...

What's the latest on Patrick Sharp? Is he going to play before the playoffs?
Senior Moderator
Chicago is missing their 2nd line center in Bolland (thanks to that freaking cheapshot from Kubina) as well as Sharp who apparently will be back by the end of the regular season...which may be too late.

Of all the Hawks missing from last year's Cup team that hurts the most...it'd be Ladd. I wish he was still a Hawk.

^ Dude, the Kings will make the playoffs.

Los Angeles Kings leading scorer Anze Kopitar underwent an MRI on his fractured right ankle Monday and the results confirmed he will need corrective surgery on the injury, the team announced.
Before the latest report, Kings coach Terry Murray said Kopitar would need a minimum of six weeks to recover, but Kopitar is now listed as being out indefinitely.

Waldorf...But, as I said, maybe it is time to give Schenn a go. It's not over until it is over.

At least somebody's team didn't lose 8 players from a Cup-winning roster...and then have 2 of the "core" players go down to injuries (Bolland and Sharp) in the final stretch...

That was a sweet goal by Lupul the other day.

Eddie O and Pierre both agreed the hit was bad. I agree with the commentary right now on TSN that he should be tossed out for a couple of games...
Good thing Johnson was able to continue playing.

I'm surprised that goal counted, it looked like the goalie was being run over when he shot it, but it was a neat goal.
It's not Matt Cooke, nobody cares...

What...? What's the rule preventing the call-up...? Like, Chicago was able to call up a prospect (Marcus Kruger) recently...So, why can't LA call up Schenn?
The sizzle in the Steak
For Schenn it is based on the agreement between the NHL and the Canadian Hockey League, and the rules got much more strict after March 1.

Kruger is from the Swedish Elite League...Probably different transfer rules and etc. from there to the NHL...

Gillies almost kills a guy, punches him while unconcsious, taunts him from the runway, comes back, first shift, does the same thing again, and gets 1 more game than the last time, and is a repeat offender. When you're Matt Cooke, it's different.

^ Matt Cooke deserved what he got...let's be clear on that. What I don't get is how Big Bert's flying elbow to Johnson equated to NOTHING. WTFBBQ...I really would like to get into the heads of these "decision-makers" looking at discipline.
Absolutely, no freaking logic. Wow...
Yesterday's game between Chicago and Detroit was an absolute thing of beauty. Fast...back and forth between two good teams and it was supremely entertaining. Just like what makes me love hockey. And then, you have retard-managing of the League like this...it makes me think I'm watching a 2nd-rate production.
*sighs*

It was a north/south hit which the league has not really been penalizing with supplementary discipline. I don't think it had the malicious intent of some of the other elbows to the head we've seen recently but I think the league should have given him a few games to send a message. Just like high sticking, whether it's intentional or not, you need to be in control of yourself and your equipment.
