Read my posts.

What came from Toronto? The words 'Crosby and 'retirement' or a story that a family member who were not his parents mentioned he should consider retirement. Read the story, listen to Mcowan's podcast. You guys are blowing this out of proportion. So now when something comes from Toronto it should be immediately discredited?

Good luck getting NHL news

I mean, look at all the lame entertainment-worship-the-stars shows from the US...

That's what they do. Who cares.

Mcowan rarely breaks stories, he's not a reporter. He typically just discusses the latest.

But funny enough, the last 2 'big' stories he broke IIRC were the NHL running the Coyotes (which was denied by Gary) and the bond deal falling apart in Phoenix a few weeks back. Both of which he was bang on with. I don't think he just throws stuff out there on a whim.

I still never gave you a for last Saturday.

And it truly pains me to see you so happy these days. The Hawks and Bulls are flying, Bears made the NFC championship. I can only hope for a painful collapse in the first round for both.

Bears was a fluke.

With the Hawks and Bulls...you can never rule out teams that sport a Toews and a Rose respectively. Never.

And lookee...both are being talked as MVPs. Your day will be absolutely ruined if either or both win the awards.

All I'm doing is looking at what was reported by SI. I didn't hear anything about retirement whether is came from Crosby, his mom, his dad, a cousin he played tummy sticks with, the family dog, until I read it in SI.

Are they wrong they even the slightest story about this subject came from that radio show? It's the same BS that I have with ESPN or even local radio, starting shit for the sake of starting it, just to be more entertaining to keep their jobs.

ding ding ding.

All I said, was it's funny that SOMEONE in Toronto floats a rumor about him retiring, and then he's on the ice 2 days in a row. Grow some thicker skin dommie, I wasn't attacking Toronto, just pointing out where the rumor started.

Once again you guys aren't reading. A rumor about him retiring was never floated. Read my posts....What was floated was someone in his his family bringing up the R word as something that should be discussed.. Two entirely different things.

Now where's Jonsei to complain about this 'retirement' rumor. Although I doubt he'll read my posts either.

While we're on the subject. Can anyone think of some examples of a player who was concussed, out as long as Sid and came back to have a healthy, concussion free career?

Not saying there haven't been any, I just can't think of any. The Lafontaine's and Lindros brothers are the first I think of.

I know Toews was knocked to orbit by Mitchell and came back great. But, he was not out as long as Sid.

Erm...Gary Roberts broke his neck and came back.

...but, that's not the same as a concussion...Can't recall. Never really paid much attention to the concussion injury since it was not as prevalent back then.

Penner, acquired in a trade with Edmonton on Feb. 28, has five points in six games with the Kings and is riding a five-game point streak

Patrice Bergeron has had 2 that each kept him out longer than Sid's been out. Problem is, this is his first full season back (assuming he finishes the season) and he's still pretty early in his career. He's been a stellar player for the B's this year looking better than he ever has but the true test will be how he plays (if he plays) in 2021 as a 15 yr veteran of the league and if he continues to suffer concussions after taking a shot to the head.

I one of those who believes that some people are just more prone to concussions than others. Lindros is one who concussed easily, Savard seems to be falling into that category as well, he was a shadow of himself when he came back this year. Some players will never have one despite taking shots to the head from elbows, shoulders, or the boards.

So that Statler does not have to ask for it.....

Update:

Kings: playoff odds up 4.2 to 97.4%

Hawks: playoff odds up 1.7 to 94%

Actually, I do.

My team has played well, very well, against yours. If anything, it'd be a good match-up.

No team in the West really scares me except the Preds and that's due to that nutty system they play.
