Could it be that the prayers of 33 million Canadians and 2.5 million midwesterners from the Pittsburgh area have not been answered?

The only reason why the Canadians want Ovie out for extended periods is so that Canada has a shot at the gold medal come Vancouver.

Isn't Avery a Canadian...? Tootoo...? Or, what about Steve Ott...? Alex Burrows...? Ryan Kesler...? Todd Bertuzzi...?

They must be Russians.

A shot? Please. Canada can field 2 teams with both being the favorite.

Talking about hockey with Americans is like talking about English literature with a Golden Retriever.

I was generalizing. There's always the exception to the rule.

Look at you, a man with a Robot fascination actually married....a woman. It happens.

Impossible. He coached the Hartford Whalers, dammit! Americans have to know about that storied franchise and their iconic head coach...

I think he's been going too far with some of his hits and he basically got what he deserved: a potentially career ending knee injury. Now everyone who is not a Caps fan can celebrate.
Same exact knee to knee hit he put on Gonchar in the playoffs last year that you said wasn't dirty At least they called this one kneeing and gave him a game misconduct.

Let's bring back this gem

The shot was cheap and douchey but I still don't think he's a malicious or dirty player. He's just not so bright. Kinda like when my Dad's golden retriever got over zealous and blew out his (my Dad's) knee.

Ovie needs to play smarter when hitting. No one is ever going to consider him one of the greats if he injures people.

Trying to make a serious point using an obviously sarcastic comment (sarcasm is clear because I'm overtly a Malkin fan) makes your debate skills either really weak or just dim-witted. You pick.

So then you really don't think Ovechkin is dirty, you think it's unfortunate that he was injured, and you think challenging how good he is because he got injured is absolutely ridiculous? Or do you just not understand what sarcasm is?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was none. Then again, if they did, I don't think it'll be more than 2-3 games...tops. Definitely not the same as what they gave Laraque...

That's what I'm thinking. No one wants to see him out for an extended period anyway.

Also worth mentioning, Crosby's goal last night was amazing. Backhand, short side, top corner, from pretty much the faceoff dot. Great skill.
