How the fawk would I know if the Hawks were dirty.

First, I haven't seen a Hawks game all year.
Second, I don't care.

But between cap shenanigans and Kane beating up old people for 14 cents, I'm pretty much hoping for the worst as far as the Hawks go.

The Leafs were obviously too concerned with the skills competition they had planned the day after to worry about the game.

Skillz > 2 points.

That's why I'm telling you they are dirty. Duh. Dirtiest team in the league. So, dirty, Ovechkin will wish he was wearing a Firstnationshead sweater.

I mean, Chicago is only the least penalized team in the League. I'm sure they hide all their 's only when everyone's heads are turned...

How's that beating by the Bruins sitting with ya...? It's almost like Boston wanted to shred the Leafs and then also say, oh...we're adding to your crappage and we also get your pick!

And does it kinda hurt that Burkie signed the second coming of Cherepanov in a goalie...?

Or is it just anything I like? If that's the case, it's absolutely okay to keep it up...just draw the line at my wife, okay?

P.S. How does it feel to watch those Pens lose to the WORST team in the league...?

Kings finally beat the Flames....just a few points back of the Sharks now for the lead in the West......and all this with injury-a-plenty!

Smyth back in a week or two

Speaking of Kings, are they going to re-sign Frolov or letting the guy walk...? That being said, I'm really not sure if he'd even be a nucleus player...

Witt Hit By Car; Will Still Play Tonight

From TSN...

Go ahead, make his day.

New York Islanders defenceman Brendan Witt was hit by a car in Philadelphia on Tuesday, according to Newsday. But Witt reportedly picked himself up off the road and, after a few profanities, assured everyone he was all right before continuing on his way, prompting one witness to say, "it was like seeing Clint Eastwood, but in hockey."

Witt was crossing Arch street to get a cup of coffee when a gold Yukon truck made an illegal turn and hit the 34-year-old. Newsday says Witt tried to jump on the hood of the vehicle before being thrown to the ground as he was struck.

"I'm okay," Witt told the crowd as he dusted himself off, according to Newsday. "I've got to go play some hockey. I'm a hockey player. I'm okay. No big deal."

The onlooker was impressed.

"Boy that guy is tough," he said.

The 6'2, 219-pound blueliner downplayed the incident.

"I just got lucky," said Witt, who oddly enough had declined an offer for a drive to Wachovia Center from the team's medical staff just prior to the accident. "Fortunately nothing bad happened. I'm just a little sore."

The Humboldt, Saskatchewan native chose not to call police or get medical care, and was at the Isles' morning skate just a few hours later. He will play tonight against the Flyers.

Witt has two goals, one assist and 35 penalty minutes in 26 games for the Isles this season, and has no plans to star in any action films in the immediate future.

Frolov is a guy you build a team around

shhhhhhhh.......let's hope the rest of the teams in the league believe that.
Perhaps we can get a Kings ransom for Froloaf

...then someone else in the league can deal with the enigma that is Alexander Frolov.

The Leafs may be interested.

They may have a 2011 1st-rounder to give up.
2012 for sure...but, that may be the end of the world...so...I'd negotiate for the 2011 pick.

Leafs don't have a 2011 first round pick. Boston has 10 and 11.

Although I'm sure we can work something out with a couple of seconds and and 3rd.

Ah...it's all good. The League will be finished by 2012 anyhow...Burke is smart. Why keep a pick that's not going to be used when the world ends.

That's like trying to wipe your @$$ when you know is imminent. No point.

Flyers finally stop their bleeding with 6-2 win over Isles. Now Emery is out for 6 weeks due to abdominal surgery. Not looking too good for the orange and black.

There was a funny pic on NHL.com where the hawks were celebrating their OT goal and a pens fan is seen giving a double middle finger salute behind the glass.

Can't seem to post it tho.

And $7 for mellon arena nachos are the best $7 I ever spent.

Wow, what a game again!

Terrific OT winner by Byfuglien...what an effort to blow by two Rangers. And of course, Toews for the tying goal...

But, dayum...what a game played by Lunqvist.

So, why aren't the grumpy Leafs fans here happy that their team is one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference right now and are just a couple wins away from the 8th spot?

Kings take down the guppies!!!

Should have won this in regulation rather than OT.....Ersberg did good as the backup in net for the Kings...he let in the tying goall...that was pretty much the only bad goal he had.

Sorta

....I'm still of the mindset of the typical Kings fan...."is this too good to be true?"....."when is the next shoe gonna drop?"...and we hit a 5 game winless streak...etc and so on.

I'm glad to see some depth and maturity with this team in the way that they manage to win games despite injuries to major players.

I wasn't expecting the Kings to compete like this until next season....but it's nice to see now.

Doughty is the real deal.
The skills and decision making he has made during games is amazing for such a young kid.

As well as pitching in offensively.

Another young d-man not mentioned yet is Da Hawks' Niklas Hjalmarsson. Dayum, what a find by Chicago in the late rounds...he is going to be stud for quite some time on that blueline. Not as gifted offensively as Doughty...but, still very, very sound back there esp. partnered up with the inept Campbell.
