Malkin's backhander on friday was better. Short side on Roloson, there was just enough space to fit a puck.

I trust I can count on you not to wear a team canada jersey on day's they have games. for that matter red and or white are out of the question too. (Unless you physically attend the game).
Interesting. Interesting.

Toews better be on the roster.

Could have sworn I heard something about the NHL waiting for him to come back and play a game, and then make him sit the 2 out. Just so he actaully misses games he should be playing in. Was I dreaming?

It was the longest shootout in Blackhawks history. Loved the new alternate jersey too. It was Hossa's first home game in Chicago too.

You clearly don't watch any Hawks games...
And if you want further proof, look at Chicago's record without him in the lineup vs. when he's in the lineup.
Richards is a bit meaner than Toews, but the latter has better offensive flair. However, on the back-check, it's arguable who is better. And I guess how there is often comparison of Toews to Yzerman and Sakic is just the typical overstatement by everyone who is drinking in the Kool-Aid hype.
But, of course, I'm sure you won't agree and continue with your and smileys because you have a blinded hatred for the Blackhawks too...just like the Bears.

Interesting article from hockeyindependent.com about the Flyers and whispers of a split locker room...
Hey Chris, how are things?
Apparently, not so well.
Chris Pronger feels he’s been walking a tightrope when it comes to Flyers captain Mike Richards handling of the locker room. He stepped off that tightrope in no uncertain terms in a conversation with Comcast SportsNet.com’s Tim Panaccio.
“[Richards] hasn’t come to me [to] ask me anything, and it’s delicate because at the end of the day, it’s his team,” Pronger said. “He’s the captain. He needs to show the rest of the players that it is his team. I don’t want to be the guy that has to stand up every day and tell ourselves to look into the mirror and play better and all this stuff.”
Pronger recognized it can be difficult for a young captain to step up and take the mantle of a team with a mix of players like the Flyers.
“He hasn’t asked me for any help,” Pronger said, “I’ve been in his shoes. It’s not [bleeping] easy. The expectations are high on him and on the team. We’re not playing to the best of our abilities, and a lot of that gets shouldered by the captain.
“Sometimes it’s fair and just and sometimes it’s not, and it’s hard to deal with that, especially at that age. You’re trying to figure out yourself. At 24, some kids are coming out of college, business school, some don’t even have a job at 24.”
There has been some minor sniping from Pronger this season when the team has struggled. In fact, following Saturday’s loss to Atlanta, Pronger complained of “..too many passengers”.
That the frustration would mount is unsurprising. The Flyers have been a very inconsistent team this season. The team went from having problems in their own end, to looking like a serious contender to having issues scoring goals. There have been injuries, poor play, undisciplined penalties and turmoil. Now the coach is on the hot seat, at least in the media, and the locker room seems to be an unhappy place.
Maybe Pronger’s comments to Panaccio were a calculated poke to spur Richards to step up and grab the reins. That would be an absolute best case scenario. The problem is, there are other hints that suggest some potentially serious issues exist.
Toronto radio host Bill Watters reported on a divide in the Flyers locker room, between the young studs and the older players, saying it seemed that the young guys walked around as if they owned the place, regardless of the effects it had on the team. This on the heels of that loss to Atlanta on Saturday, where coach John Stevens seemed to be talking to a distracted Richards during a timeout when assistant coach Craig Berube was reviewing a play-and where cameras caught Pronger grabbing Richards by the jersey to make sure he was following Berube’s coaching.
A divide between the kids and graybeards would be bad. A divide between two vital members of the team’s leadership group would be a potential disaster.

It'd be nice if the Quacks can be kept out of the playoffs. They kinda scare me.

Honestly though, I do respect the black cawks as an up and coming team, with one exception, the chokessta, now THAT is blind hatred

I do watch Chicago plenty actually, I just don't think Toews is the same caliber of player, that could just be cuz of your :ghey: nickame captain why so serious

The fact that Chicago's record with him in the lineup this season, as compared to 3 wins to 3 losses (including one shootout loss), is huge proves it. Same can be said when he missed time in previous seasons...A long-term veteran, Madden has all but said that the Hawks go as far as the Captain goes. And this is the same guy who's played on a Devils team with lots of great leaders (i.e. Niedermayer). Hey, he could just not say anything or stir like Pronger is for the Flyers, right...?
Captain Serious is not my nickname, it's what the local Chicago press has given him...So, if you don't get the tongue-in-cheek humor of me calling him that...sorry.
Anyhow...yeah. Toew FTMFW...I'm sorry your team decided to take Staal instead of him *shudders thinking how scary Pittsburgh would be with Toews as the #3 center behind Malkin and Crosby*.
As for Hossa...What can you say for the "ultimate mercenary"...? At least he's finally settled into a long-term contract. As much as his ship-jumping season to season was frowned upon, at least he did his job with class and still played excellent 2-way hockey wherever he planted himself. I'm just glad he's not a pouty diva like Heatley.
Interesting. Interesting.
I dunno. If I had to choose between the Stanley Cup and being able to live somewhere besides Pittsburgh, I'd be loading my pockets with Pennsy Turnpike toll money.
Nothing is worth having to live in Pittsburgh. Nothing.
