Say, here's a question for you hockey fans: What are your thoughts on shootouts counting in the player's stats (i.e. saves, goals)...?

I vote thumbs down on shootout stats counting towards regular season stats.

It really isn't as bad as you think. I've been a goaltender for 20 years and absolutely love it. I just wonder about the netminders with the weird superstitions.

I agree...I'm still not really in favor of shootouts. At that point, you've taken a team sport and turned it in to a one-on-one competition-thus eliminating the "team sport" concept.

I think goalies have changed a lot over the years...they used to be the crazy breed when they barely had a mask on but now it seems like more and more kids are choosing to play goalie because its the 'cool' position

For goalie fights I think the best ever has to be Dafoe vs Kolzig. Dafoe was Kolzig's best man at his wedding but everyone else on the ice was fighting so why not

If I make it to the Finals vs Yumchah, I am requesting a player move freeze. Run with what you brought. Player transactions should only be allowed if you player is injured, not if he didn't perform one night. Jonesi?

You can't change the rules just for the finals...even though I agree with you, you can't change it now

True.

And I did say "run with what you brought". Well, I guess that's what has gotten him this far so...

Yeah, yeah. It's not over...I just need to have a bad goalie run for the weekend and it's right back in Mr. Bruin's hands. The score is high but it's not like I'm destroying in the stats.

The only tough point he has against me is the shutouts...but, hey...my goalies were the same goalies I had for awhile and Mason and Quick have been surprisingly good for 2nd tier guys. Bulin and Nabby have been awful the last two weeks.

Well it's almost April so guess its about time to pay more serious attention to opposing post-season pretenders. <-- Yummy Cheeks.

Haven't had the same time or inclination to attend as many games this year, but from what I witnessed at the Joe last night - yikes, with a suspect blue line and inconsistent goaltending, prob 50/50 odds the Wings don't make it out of the 2nd round this year.

Next year, the Central crown belongs to Da Hawks!

Nice comeback. Too bad you had to resort to Yumchah style tactics to do it.

It should be a good match-up for the finals. Let's see you can squeeze in more games played.
