Not only saying this b/c the refs blew that penalty call... but the officiating this World Cup has been absolutely attrocious. In a year when they're trying to market the World Cup to the casual American, FIFA is really blowing their chance....

The US better come out firing. They need at least two goals this half to stay in the hunt... they they'll have to double their goal output for the whole world cup tournament in one half (since their first WC goal was really an own goal).

That sucks. Sometimes its hard for the ref to tell, but when its in the box and a penalty kick is on the line, the ref shouldnt make the call unless he is DAM WELL SURE its a penalty.

Have you watched Ghana play any game? They're a good (and very fast) team and they pretty much "breezed" through qualifying to get here. FYI they also shut out the Czech team 2-0. The same Chech team which lit up the US 3-0.
