Watching the match right now in the pub beneath our office. Working for a British firm has its perks. Bad break for Owen.

What a game. Joe Cole's goal was amazing.

England can't defend corners at all today. Crossbar / Gerrard saved us.

England's defense is pathetic. They need to improve fast.

The last goal for Sweden was soooooooo shitty. Sol Campbell should have just thrown his body in front of the cross, instead of the dumb kick he tried to make. Also, Ashley Cole could have played the ball after it slipped passed Sol, but he chose to head to the goal line to pull a John Terry, but failed.

Oh well, Ecuador will pose a tough threat come the next round.

Also, Gerrard > *

I listened to the New Order song "World in Motion" about four times today, but it didn't help perfidious Albion beat Sweden's pants off. :ohwells:

Argh, England's defense fell asleep on that play.

Owen out for the rest of the tournament due to that injury from yesterday. England down to 3 strikers. Rooney (not yet 100%), Crouch, and Walcott (is he old enough to drink yet?). Ecuador is shaking in their boots.

Sven is a complete idiot for bringing only 4 strikers. Jermaine Defoe needs to be in this line-up

although i am a diehard Arsenal fan, I still cannot understand why Theo Walcott is in the lineup! He just turned 17, and has yet to make an appearance for his club, let alone his nation!

The planets need to align perfectly for the US to advance to the next round, I'll still watch and hope for a them to pull out a nice win though. Time to see some real goal scoring.

Ill be at work all day with my headphones on, listening to music, staying away from all the scores until 4 PM, which is when I'll be racing home to catch the game on ESPN Classic.

GOOD LUCK!

Good buy Fifa world cup thread until later tonight. I don't wanna hear the score because it ruins the excitement for me.
