[quote=JL-Type-S;13590980]These rotors and brakes are great! I definitely recommend them to everyone. Although I'm having some issues with my rear rotors. Here are videos and hopefully someone here can tell me what's going on..

I apologize for the delayed response, I have been in and out of the office again this week...
Try taking off the set screw, having that in may be offsetting the rotor from turning freely. Also, try taking off the caliper to see if you are getting the same type of reaction from the spinning. Let me know what you come up with so this can be looked into if need be!

rockstar, didnt you say that you put the powerstop ones in the caliper with the d/s rotor? couldnt be the set screw if thats the case. only way its the set screws are if you changed the rotors and it stopped... if i understand the statement

I met someone with these on an 07 accord coupe. Said he had them for over a year and he had a some rust on the edges of the rotor/in the drilled holes

not sure if it was also on the hub though.

I may just end up painting the hub/slots. Thats the main reason why I love the Stoptechs

Edit: Just noticed you're in NOVA too. Nice

The zinc plating should hold up just fine...

Sick...I agree, that's why I was asking for clarification on what BM was saying. I don't think the set screw would affect it either.

Rockstar and JL, I hope you're able to figure out your issue. I've had the pads and rotors on for 5 days and had nothing similar to what you guys are hearing.

For you base TL people out there, yes there is the sound of downshifting when you brake moderately/hard, but nothing thats bothersome. As far as brake dust; theres a lot more during the initial break in when you're wearing thru the zinc coating under the pads, after that is just a little bit more than oem.

Braking power: a very notable increase in bite, it's like night and day for me. The brake feel is phenomenal. And like everyone's been saying, the zinc coating is perfect. The clean look adds another dimension to the wheels, even with the plain ol' stockies on the car.

hoping that the zinc coating holds up, because 3 of the rotors were rusted on. had to soak them in wd40 and took the hammer to them to get them off.

thanks again Sean

Yeah, even mine...with no salt or anything, the rear rotors were pretty rough to get off!

i just took a BFH to the part of the rotor that contacts the rim. Generally that will knock it loose! beware.... make sure that you either have really good aim or you put the lugs back on the studs so you dont mess up the threads!! just my 2 cents.

I was afraid of damaging the hub...it's really easy to knock that center out of round. I used a rubber mallet on the back of the rotor as I spun it.

lol...don't ask me how I know!!!

First side, I used a lug nut to hammer...second side I said MEH, I can manage without...sure enough, bam missed twice. Then, could get my spacer to slide onto the hub without hammering it. I had to break out the dremel and smooth out the edges and make it round again.

Right now, nothing up front (+35 offset) and a 20MM V2 on the back for a final of (+25).
My wheels are +35 and +45.
Going to run some extended studs front/back to be able to rotate and pop on 10MM spacers to keep the stance going.

Sick TLS; I'm in Fairfax near GMU and NOVA.

You should definitely get spacers. I love mine. Ive got ichiba v2 25mm in the back and 20 in the front and it's perfectly flush with my aspecs (18x8). You'll love it

I have an extra set of 20mm Ichiba v2s listed in the BM Pm me or something and maybe I can check out your brakes and you can check out my spacers

The specs should be the same as OEM! I was just trying to eliminate any possibilities of what could be causing the rotor to stop like the video showed. If it is off even a tiny bit, I think it would make the rotor do that. If that is the case, the set screw isn't necessary for installation. Hoping we can figure this out.....

I agree...I don't think it's anything major. Today, I needed to replace some studs, so I swapped out my front pads too. During bedding process...JEEZUZ...these things BITE! Great product. Thanks! Very happy with the pads, Sean. I also think I heard a mild slap like in my video. Maybe it is directly proportionate to the pedal pressure etc...

Ah...who knows...great deal, great, pretty product.

SICK...why GROSS!??! Small AND gross...there's no hope for me.

Who is running these pads with the stock BREMBO pads, just wondering if they will dust more and wear down the pads faster. Also are the ceramic pads supposed to wear down the rotors alot faster or just a little faster. Any info would be great.

my understanding it that you have to run the chamfered powerstop pads with these rotors otherwise it will chatter. I dont know how you would run brembo pads and brembo pads at the same time. unless you mean one set front and one rear or meant the brembo rotors? im confused

I still hear the chopping sometimes, but it's GREATLY diminished...
I think he means still using the brembo caliper with the brembo pads...I'm sure it'll be similar to OEM...no more dusting (I dont' think any more dusting is POSSIBLE than with those pads!).
