i was reading that and I always wondered the same thing... I had a couple friends do it the opposite direction by mistake and because they didnt want to mess with it over agian, they left it. However, they have all had issues with the pads seeming to wear out quicker than before they had the drilled and slotted rotors. I dont know if it correlated to the rotors being installed "backwards" or because they werent used to the the extra wear that hard braking had on the pads with the drilled and slotted.
I have no personal experience with it, but it is intuitive to me to have them installed the way that BrakeMotive instructs us to put them on.

ok from a little research online,
http://www.zeckhausen.com/how_to_pro...all_rotors.htm
they seem to think that it has nothing to do with the actual slots in the rotors but the "vanes" inside the rotor. They believe that the vains need to face the rear of the car if they are angled, and if they are straight, it doesnt matter?
Seems to make sense, i guess! lol but if Sean can chime in as the expert, i would appreciate and im sure rockstar would too!
Also found this:
Which direction should the discs rotate?
It is a popular misconception that the slots or drillings in a disc determine the direction of rotation. In truth, for an internally vented disc, the geometry of the vanes dictates the direction of rotation. There are three vane types in use:
Additionally, all of Brembo's slotted discs are directional as well, regardless of the vane geometry. The discs should be installed such that the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the disc contacts the pad first.
I havent look at ours too closely inside the rotor but if i remember correctly, they are the pillar vain. so that would mean that they are not directional and as stated above, they say that brembos, i know are not related to our new rotors and pads, need to have the outtermost portion of the slot contact the pad first.
Just what i have read so far..

i would...
Good find, man!
My guess is we don't have directional vanes and he was able to put them facing whatever he felt looked better. (just based on reading that site a little).
I remember looking into the rotor prior to install but I don't think the in between were channels...seemed like just touch points.

Hey all, sorry again for the delayed responses, I've been in and out of the office this week!!!
@Rockstar & Jayvee - Yes, the avatar is the way the rotors are tested at extreme conditions!
@Foreverhonda - Unfortunately I do not stock any calipers at this time.
@Sick TLS - Awesome, thanks for the business, it is greatly appreciated as always!
@Rockstar - Companies will recommend that the rotors be installed different than others. We recommend that the rotors are installed with the top of the slots and drill holes pointing toward the rear. The rotors should be labeled driver side and passenger side though. Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

oh.. lol i wasnt even following that. I did remember him saying that but i could care less. mine came in a timely manner. I am just pissed that my damn decals arent here yet for the calipers. Im definitely not painting them, waiting for the decals, clean the calipers all up again, and then apply the decals and clear coat. My goal is to get them all done at one time.
Sean, thanks for everything. I just wish i could get these things installed already. Just waiting on paypal to make the decision to refund my money from XenonMods.com so i can get some in the mail quicker thatn 4 weeks.

I got you,
try these...this is where i got mine, and if you message the seller, she's super nice and will swap out the smaller decals for the larger 3.5" ones and let you pick 3 different colors.

Personally, the black clear was gone, so I went with high temp silver and a black decal.

Sean, thanks for the responses man, was just curious...also good to know the extreme conditions these get tested in! So far, super happy!

got mine yesterday. just waiting for my friend to let me use his shop and lift to install them, probably in the next week or so. call me spoiled but, working on your car on a lift is so much easier than on jack stands. since my friend has a garage and lets me use his lift, i take full advantage of that.

Did work late at night, I finished around 130am. The biggest pain in the ass about the whole process was taking the darn rotor screws out. Took me having to go and buy a new impact screw driver (lost, let someone borrow my old one) and a for when the impact driver just isn't enough a ball hammer.
When the impact screw driver wasn't working I used the -Two hammer method, put the ball end on the screw head and hit with another hammer a few times. Then back to the impact screw driver. Should come right out.
Finished:
Pics taken with my Droid Bionic, sorry for the quality.

Installed them last weekend. I was one of the lucky people with the horrible Brembo caliper thread issue. Oh well, got that fixed and i must say i'm very impressed with them so far.

I have warped rotors and need new pads and I have looked through this entire thread and still can't decided on whether I should get my rotors resurfaced and 2 new FRONT pads for $180 or buy these and get them installed for another $100. So it'd end up costing me like $250. I want to pull the trigger on these, but I am not sure how long these are going to last. I don't want to get them and having to get new pads or rotors after a year. Also, how is the hub rust on these? Someone please help me! CAN NOT DECIDE :/

Ummmm...resurfacing removes material...so you're potentially getting yourself closer and closer to needing to replace the oem's anyway by doing that.
According to Sean (the Brakemotive vendor)...these are NOT going to warp...and the hubs are zinc plated so they also will not end up rusting. This is a no brainer...new crossdrilled slotted zinc plated rotors and all new ceramic low dust pads for 200 bucks.
You're actually in a no brainer situation, you NEED brakes anyway...i did it cause it's purdy. Also...see brakemotives avatar...that's a picture of the torture testing they endure.

gonna do letters on the front calipers only. but im still waiting on paypal to make a decision to refund my money from the other scam artist. That will be tomorrow if i remember correctly. Not going to do the fronts until this weekend. ill definitely post pictures up though.
Rockstar im not sure if i should do the red brembo decals or the black. I have a feeling that the black will stand out more but im having a hard time deciding. Let me know what you think!

Honestly, if you're looking for it to look like the real brembo's, I'd suggest going with the red. BUT, the black would look great too.
Sometimes keeping it simple is better and NOT introducing another color. Once you paint it, hold the letters up to it and you'll probably figure out which one you love more. Use that link I sent you...7 bucks shipped and she'll send you 3 colors...get a white, black and red set of letters. Tell her to replace the back ones, which are 2.5" for them to ALL be the 3.5" ones for the front. That way you have extras for messing up or changing your mind down the line.
