full hytech system with kpro is ultimate na setup for tsx. but downside is its cost and loudness

that's heck of long honda journey.
my honda journey started with 98 accord coupe to 03 accord coupe to 05 tsx and now 07 tl-s

no car parts for christmas. but i have a choice between a louisvuitton wallet or samsung behold. not much a fan of expensive wallet, watch, sunglasses, etc. so leaning towards the new cell phone

 

suspension setup i went...

#1. Tein H-tech on stock shocks.
smoother ride than oem typeS suspension. lowers about a inch. very comfortable. brake dive reduced a bit.

#2. Eibach Pro Kit + Koni Yellow (Neuspeed version)
much firmer ride. more brake dive reduced compared to #1. lowers little more than a inch. cuts corner much better.

also i have progress rear sway bar too.

With the rear sway, have you seen this issues people have had with the mount breaking off the chassis?

So when i clayed/waxed my car last friday, i noticed some "bubbles" in the paint on my rear deck lid... Im shocked it took me this long to find this, im not saying that it can be noticed when looking at it, but when you run your hand over them they are def noticeable, and visible. Short story long...i went to Tualatin Auto Body and let them look at it. I was hoping it was just some over spray...or dirt in the clear, but they feel its dirt or air bubbles in one of the base coats.

Told me they would need my car for 2 days to repaint the entire deck lid to be sure that there wont be any other issues elsewhere. So ill be calling them soon, probably set it up to get fixed after Thanks Giving, loaner car and repairs free of charge.

I did try and work a Type-S lip out of them, because that would cover up the bubbles instead of having to repaint. But they want me to have it repainted to fix the problem. Hard right over easy wrong.

 

So why, do they owe you repairs free of charge? Did they paint your rear deck lid after an accident, mod, or what?

 

haha.. hytech header would be nice.. but i dont really need the rest. honestly now that i fixed the DC header with a new flex pipe ive seen alot more response and a nice throaty sound would hate to lose it..

plus now the wife is wanting me to just get the hood redone =( she thinks it wont have that lexury look if i put a carbon hood on.. (another reason why women just wont understand)

 

Min - yeah already, starting to get a bit bouncier on typical bumps on my ride to and from work, car feels a bit unsettled under moderate cornering with a slight bank. They aren't blown yet, but are showing signs of abuse and I'd much rather just stick on the new coils for a new look and keep my OEM with H-Tech set up as back up.

I don't know why but I thought you had S-Tech's at some point too? Oh, and I love my LV wallet, any signs of damage and they give me a new one, can't beat that service, damage a cell phone and if you don't have "insurance" they laugh at you till your contract expires.

Kyle - ever since your accident that rear end has been bad luck eh? good deal that the auto body shop will replace it for free. Good rep for them.

 

how do you like the sway bar? I am thinking of doing the same on the TSX

 

Just buy it! Then when it shows up at the door ignore her yelling, install it and sleep on the couch for a night or so. lol

 

Sorry, Yes they did the repairs to my car when i was rear-ended back in June and have a warranty on their work for stuff like this.

Yes i love this shop. I point everyone that needs work to them. The warehouse they have is MASSIVE, and constantly full of awesome fucking cars. It helps that they have a SO-CAL Speed shop in house, but when my car was there they showed me some of what they had in the shop. They had a couple Porsche Race Cars that had found the wall, several Ferrari's, handful of older HotRods, and even had a Pantera...When was the last time you saw a Pantera !?!?

does the TL sway bar have the ummm i cant think of what its called but that little piece that drops down and says progress on it like the RSX one?

 

No, I may be wrong but isnt the part with the Progessive logo there because it attaches to the Lower Control Arms?

 

thats the exact one i had on my rsx, its the rear sway with tie bar included. i think the TL is just a bar with polyurethane bushings

 

ya i am just gonna have someone buy it for me on my b-day and play it off that way.. she can only be mad for so long

 

I already have a full exaust.. if anything the header would be an improvement but not by much.. 2-3hp over the DC I am guessing.

the hood has a few ripples and the scratches are in and past the paint =( i tried to cut and buff with my buffer and it didnt help =(

iuno if its just me but i'm over the whole carbon fiber phase... maybe cause i over did it on the rsx... or maybe over time the clear coat fades and/or oxidizes and looks crappy

 

ya thats the only thing i am worried about.. what was the maker of the hood and trunk you got on the RSX?

 

so now that Kpro is out I am thinking of a turbo for the car.. what you guys think? which one would work best?

mustache before turbo obviously, once the mustache comes in consider a magnatomitron. It will get you way further than any turbo.

agreed.. i havent heard complaints on fiberimages or seibon hoods.. but VIS and carbon creations i hear mixed thoughts.. so i guess i would avoid those

i got time to figure it out.. more focused on getting my pulley installed and getting through Xmas

 

the hood i bought was a no name brand with "integra" stamped under the hood (300). JDM yO!lol and the trunk was VIS for 600. Very good quality it but still started to oxidize after time
