maybe you can lower a bit more and change the the tires to 225/45/17 or 225/40/17.

thinking about buying a beater. yar or nay??

1995~97 (not sure)
Nissan 200SX SE
White
AUTOMATIC :thumbsdow
170K :thumbsdow

Moonroof
Working AC
Rear Spoiler
$1000

interior/exterior is very clean for its age. owner said its '98 but '98s have different head/taillights. must be between '95~97. mileage is 170k but was very surprised when i fired the engine up. it idles silky smooth and no other mechanical noises. owner is in army. stationed at fort lewis. i think mileage is mostly highway, driving back and forth from here to fort lewis.

I like those, very nice looking cars but 170K even with a smooth idle could be a bit of a time bomb IMO.

if it wasn't the high mileage, i would've bought it right away. $1000 car with clean interior and exterior is hard to come by.

btw... you guys are not confused with 240sx right?

200sx =

Was that a type-o or are they actually using the RSX (DC5) ECU?

If thats the case, why wasnt this done a long time ago?

it was done a long time ago but from what I heard you lost gauges, VSA, and cruise control and may have had to switch to a cable throttle body. Now you can keep your gauges, VSA, cc and your dbw throttle body.

Also this will be the "official" release of Kpro for DBW applications. A while back it was more of a "backyard" tuner approach

I dunno it's settled a little bit and I am really starting to like it lol. I might just leave it where it's at. I keep kicking the idea back and forth so I dunno. If I go lower I'll just jack it up sometime this weekend and take the plunge. I don't think I have time to get all the way out around where you live.

Front end now sits 23 3/4 inches from floor to top point of wheel well.
Rear end now sits 24 1/4 inches from floor to top point of wheel well.

Also, put a 5mm spacer in the rear to compensate for the thicker front brake hats.

Also gave the front end a once over with a touch up pen.

Gonna paint the front of my ASPEC lip to match the black of the TypeS lip in the rear. So right now my lip is off the car....i must say i feel bad for people without ASPEC kit. Looks are totally different.

do they rub at all after rolling the fenders?

today i applied foam tapes on all four window tracks. it always made a ticking noise when window is down and faq section had a fix for it.

also applied dynamats on driver/passenger floors. not sure if these additions made any changes yet. haven't driven my tl for three straight days

No rubbing with the ASPECs, im sure the VOLKS will be a different story. We will have to see soon. When we rolled them it opened up a two finger gap from tire to fender with the ASPECs though. Before i wasnt able to get one finger through.

Let me know if you need anymore dynamat. I still have a couple pieces.

Didnt go full amount. I chickened out

I did a 1.5 turns on the collar up front, and 1 turn on the collar in the back.

Remember though, the ASPECs are +45 offset. Volks are +39, so that 6mm is gonna close up quick.

Along the outside edge of tire, and inside edge of fender. Got to remember, when rolling you are also pulling the fenders giving them a flare. You can see it when looking down along the side of the car.

The only problem i had which hopefully doesnt effect anything is that my BBK wouldnt allow for rolling all the way to the tab. Im gonna go work on the car some more today so im gonna try applying some heat and some careful pulling to see what i can get.

At my buddies house where i rolled my fenders, he had a set of WED Sports that were 18x9 +32offset. No tires though, but when we put them on for shits and giggles they would have tucked up into the wheel well perfectly. Id say with a 225-235 tire on the 9in wheel it would fit perfectly.

enkei rpf1 in sbc finish
18x8.5 +30 offset with 235/40/18 or 235/35/18 or 225/40/18 could work.

always wanted rpf1 but 18x8.5 only comes in lower offset but with the rolling +30 might work out.

Either way, im gonna have a hard time getting the car to beaverton without it getting trashed.

On a lighter note, im pretty sure i fixed my fogging problem.
One of the o-rings i got fit perfectly and the seal is really tight around the fog bulb now
