Haha you guys are clowns. I have the Lip on my car and it looks pretty nice.. Some poeple hate but at least it's something different. I have a spare fresh one Im gonna throw on before I drive down. As for the 06 with one. My friend had done his and only put it in the center and to the bottom of the curve rather then the whole front. Looks decent too. Just gotta custom fit it.

The Valentine is the ishh. catches all of the po's.

quality and fitment on these comptech icebox got worse after the ct-e take over.
found out its much easier to just take out the whole intake box assembly and screw it on to make it fit.

and the foam filter they provide with... can't remember how it was back than, but with about 30miles of use, outer rubber frame deformed by itself under engine heat. now no matter how you fit it, or how much you tighten the screw, it won't seal tight and can see the light coming inside the upper box.

running with stock upper intake box again. have to go buy more weatherseal to do icebox/k&n combo again. and will probably get k&n hps short ram next year or so.

Dang that sucks. I'd just go cold air or short ram as well. Decent gains and sounds like a monster. After my few engine mods all you hear is motor and it screams when vtec cracks. Thanks reflash

power is more linear with the reflash, just your brain thinks its slower because of the lack of vtec engagement.

^ exactly.. power feels good.. just dont hear it like i did before the reflash.. I am curious if i do the upgraded VTC and change the vtec engagement to 4800 if it will be more pronounced again...

Not sure. I can hear it a lot. Before and after the reflash.

Oh and to answer your question bluecarbon. The ground to fender was 23.7".

Yeah all around. It's pretty low. Lower would be nice but I have perfect fitment right now.

Stock at the moment. Getting rolled and pulled probably on sunday. But still need to pick up some 15mm spacers. If anyone has or knows where I can get some for a steal. $200 is just too much! Im planning on going Skunk2 front camber kit sometime though.

That's PSU parking structure 1 right? I wouldn't park on that "compact" spot. People who are not careful can either rear end or side swipe your TL.

25 - 23.7 = 1.3" ... That's pretty far

Don't go cheap on the spacers. You don't want those studs breaking off.

Man, haven't had time to be on here much lately but lots of change recently.

My 02 started slipping gears last week so I went to RT to see how much it would be to get the tranny replaced. I was 600 miles shy of 200k on the original tranny and I am so bummed I didn't reach that mark but with so many miles, I considered myself lucky.

However, car was only KBB valued at ~6k. It would have been at least 4.5k to replace the tranny, another ~1k for new timing belt, etc and to replace CV axles that were driving me crazy with vibration plus ~300 for a new windshield. Basically, I would be putting as much money in to the car as it was worth and it didn't make any sense to keep it.

Fate had it though that RT had an 08 ASM TL-S with only 30k miles and in great condition so I had to make the hard decision to let Sara go and upgrade. Sara II still has new car smell and tons of new features and it's been lots of fun to drive so far. Loving the new car and have lots of plans for it but with a car payment now, they will be completed slowly.

Anyways, only a few iPhone pics for now but hoping to make it to the meet so someone can take some better ones for me. Here are some for now.

Yeah 1.3" is a good difference. Washed my car yesterday and it rained 2 hours later!!! I can't wait to get down there haha. Changed my oil. They raised the price on royal purple. Still got it anyway.

I already have h&r extended wheel studs and rock a 10mm spacer all around but looking to get ichiba V2's in 15mm cuz they're the only brand that has the built in studs in 15mm. Everyone else is a 15mm sleeve over with extended studs that need to get pressed.

See you guys tomorrow!!!!!

I remember you saying 3g TL-S is your dream car years ago. Congrats

I thought of buying the 3g TL again, since the price was on par with 1g TSX. But better mpg, narrower width (easier on tight spaces), and nimbler handling led me to the TSX.

First mod you should do is ATLP J-Pipe. You'll be surprised by the power gain with simple bolt on part.

I'm just relearning about hondata reflash, and it's pretty cool that FlashPro is available and no need for taking out ecu & immobilizer to get it reflashed. Also no down time. Gain with the reflash alone is pretty darn good for stock '06~'08 model. Think I'll get FlashPro before any other bolt-on mods.

Everyone washing & polishing for tomorrow?

Since greater chance of not being able to make it tomorrow, I'll post some pics that you were going to see it tomorrow.

Something I just did about a hour ago.

Before.

After. Semi gloss black engine enamel paint.

Bonus. Garage queen, still 43k miles

And... Anyone in need of econobox? I still have it in my possesion. 47k miles, take it home for $5900.

i'm becoming pro at painting engine or im covers. good 30~45min will make a perfectly painted cover. point is to always use engine enamel high heat paint. engine heat will bake the enamel paint and turn it into perfect finish.

2 hours good enough for you to clean/was/oil change? sounds like you'll be running a little late.

i might be able to stop by for 10min or so if possible.

The meet was great. If it wasn't for mr. Rent-a-cop, it would be PERFECT.. The drive to seaside and skyline road was something new, but fun... Overall it was a Great meet...maybe we can hit something up for the summer..
