^I call 1st dibs...

that BC coil-over set-up is tempting, but I have plans to drink-up all the money I have and find a nice meth-head chick to fuck in a cheap motel on 82nd ave/.

i looked at few rdx, but resale value have increased by few thousands compared to last year! i think you'll have to find a good deal locally in craigslist from a private seller.

for example

2009 26k mi $26,975 + 1,423 shipping + 200 auction fee = 28,598 (vin: 5J8TB18569A005872)

2008 76k mi $21,800 + 1,499 + 200 = 23,499 (vin:5J8TB185X8A003637)

google vin for pics

surprising that speed concept had progress rsb in stock. they bought a truck load of parts from a import shop in seattle that were going out of business last year and brand new progress rsb was hiding in that pile.

so tomorrow, progress rsb and new ngk iridium plugs. next week, new front rotors and pads, flush brake fluid, icebox and neuspeed strut bar

Seeing that TSX really makes me wanna finally get a drop for my car. I never realize just how much of a wheel gap there is until I see it in the side view. Thing that's held me back is I have a CAI and I just get this sneaking suspicion that dropping + CAI + Oregon "sunshine" = hydrolock.

but Iunno guys. If that new ILX turns out to be good, I just may get off the CL for that... I'd get the 2.4L 6 speed, of course

lower & supercharge

ilx looks good, but not sure how much acura will detune the design for the production model.

-----------------------------------

progress rsb & new ngk iridium replaced. i didn't set the progress sway on firm/race setting this time. don't wanna rip the sway mount again. much better turn on high speed sweeping corners, but with stock suspension setup, its not perfect yet.

and for the spark plugs.. i think 100k interval on the plugs are bull for enthusiasts. engine is much peppier with the new plugs and since its only $36 for 4 plugs, i rather change them every 50K or 60k.

id agree but to an extint.. i still change my plugs once a year just cause i can tell a difference in fuel economy and throttle response

i'll just do with oem shocks until they blow. later on either koni yellows or tokico blues. konis are good but personally i don't really like them because of adjustable damping. gives me a stress thinking about what setting will be the best also to adjust the rears, its a hassle to take off the rear seats.

all valid points but if you adjust it enough to where its still streetable then you shouldnt have to mess around with the dampening. i think the last time i adjusted mine was august..

on the same note when i polished the car over the weekend i noticed my driver side rear is at 27 inches and my passanger side rear is at 25 and 1/4 so im guessing that could be part of my cornering issue where i feel like the car is walking from me

thats why i don't like coilovers too. for suspension setup, dont like anything that are adjustable. makes me think about it constantly. good spring and shock setup is perfect for me.

ya coilovers havent budged on any of the other sides.. just that one.. contacted Ksport about the gap issue they suggested i take it off and redo it.. the think the spring purches moved while adjusting the height.. sooooo once again another summer day taking them off and re adjusting, ugh!!

neuspeed strut bar installed! got black finish rather than chrome. wanted chrome, but doesn't look oem and will bling once the hood is open and heard they won't be producing the strut bar anymore for 1g tsx.

thought i won't feel much change, but front end is definitely tighter now.

chris, does yours rub against the ac line too? the bar isn't forcing down the ac line, but its pressing against each other. might have to bend the ac line a little later on.

Brandon -
After all of that work we did you got it off again? dang, you weren't made for coilovers lol

Min -
I don't have my FSTB anymore, started making creaks over bumps with the nuts torqued down to spec. Put a lil rubber washer under the FSTB mounts and you wont have that issue. As for the A/C line, yes it did touch it, but there was never any damage to it and it wasn't pushing it down enough for any concern.

It was really just the bar moving ever so slightly on the mounts. Nothing a ill rubber under those mounts wouldn't cure. No worries!

ya no luck for me.. which sucks im sure if they were new and werent on a slammed car in the beginning it would have been better LOL.. im still not discouraged by them just dont know if its a shock issue or a spring issue.. i called Ksport about it yesterday and they stated its shouldnt be spring related cause the springs last forever (there quote) and they dont think its shock related they think its install error.. so once again ill have to take that side apart.. i know for a fact the other side is fine cause i have a ton of threads.. ill wait till next month or something though before i do it.. im not in the mood right now

Well they are pretty much correct on the springs, any spring lasts longer than your car. If it's a shock issue you'd see the oil everywhere and hear some funny noises. I think that happened is that either the spring perch collars were loose, or the lock collar was loose and has just been ever so slightly turning. When we reinstalled those things I bet we didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the threading on the perches... They should be threaded and screwed on opposite of each other so they are always turning against each other making them in fact tighter when they turn... I can help ya out again, just let me know when.

So I did a rough clearance test today, at the lowest point I have 8 fingers, given that two of my fingers together = 1" and 4 = 2" that'd mean I have around 4" of clearance at the skirt at the front fender. I would estimate up about a half inch so that'd make it roughly 4.5" of clearance.

Hope that helps you all lol. We can be more accurate at the meet if anyone brings a tape measure.

i had cusco bar along with cusco typeII underbrace before on my '05. wanted something different without bending the ac line. only if neuspeed had better support on the strut bolt mount, it will be a perfect bar being one piece design.

ive been thinking about the cusco typeII just not sure its really worth it..

i would suggest the CT-E strut bar but they dont make them anymore.. they are a pain to install too!

chassis really tightens up with cusco typeII, but clearance is a issue. bar hangs down a little and it will scrape on speed bumps. bar is strong and won't get easily damaged, but metal scraping noise on the concrete isn't lovely everytime you go over the bump

UPS waits in the bushes for when you leave, then they leap to your door. It's like a lion stalking its prey in the Serengeti all while you bless the winds down in Africa.

Someone get that toto reference please!
