My suggestion is that if your car did not come with a manual and you want a manual, buy a car with a manual

Time for a new car. Honestly, even if your ride was still prime, the expense of swapping trannys would be a good down payment on something new. Let's just consider the cost of a new distributor set up. At some point it will fail because it's so GD old. that's over $300. Do you really want to drop $1,500 into a tranny swap only to shell out another $300 for a new distributor within the next 2k? If you are serious about performance, go out and test drive the new TL. Just the improvements on body rigidity alone should be enough for you to be sold on the new technology.

They have one sitting right in front of RTA. It's there specifically to be test driven. They're not even for sale yet. Acura purposely sent one to each dealership to get people to drive the car and experience it.

You guys should each roll down there in your Acura's and ask for a drive, it's worth it, trust me.

Good thing about this car is that it's $60k, so even if you want it.... it's not like you're just gonna turn around and make it happen.

should of got a manual to begin with.. parts and labor alone guessing will be around 5k unless you know someone that will take gummy bears and beer as payment.. then youre at about 2500 depending.. and for that price you might as well of trade your car in for something newer with a manual

to add to it if you want your tranny to act more like a stick you could always upgrade the torque converter.. that will help.. it wont be a stick by any means but for the price and the pick up you get its worth it

^that. So much wiser to sell the car and buy one with a 6-speed. You'll lose a bit of money but way less than you will if you spend the money outright to get it done and then sell the car at an epic loss down the road.

Can't stand those headlights. Two, three LED's OK. Five lenses each side? Looks like something a former LEGO engineer would design. Acura can't keep porducing crap like that and call themselves "Advanced."
Let's take a look at the Mercedes solution to LED headlamps:

I like the slap noises from the boxer engine, but that's as far as I'll go.

Nice drive in today. Only a couple of slow spots. Considering we are in the top ten worst commute cities once again, I'll take it.

Who here bought a tablet and what did you get? I've got a credit at BestBuy that I'm thinking of applying towards a tablet...need some reviews.

Either that or I'll trade for REI gift card as I'd really rather shop there.

Ipad here, wouldn't mind getting a nexus 7 though.

Finally got the jelly bean update on my one x and it blows britts iPhone 4S out of the water for speed. Though iOS is still a bit more user friendly.

I would be going with the Android OS simply because we switched to Google at work and it would make my life easier to keep everything synced.

Considering Samsung - Galaxy Tab 10.1

Galaxy tab is cool, played a bit with one at Costco. After carrying around an iPad, the smaller form factor of the nexus 7 would get my vote. Smaller lighter etc...

I refuse to grow up. I plan on dying young, just not for a very long time.

Called in sick today. Turns out we were getting a couple of bottles of wine delivered by FedEx too. So it was a win-win for me today!

I feel your pain, Britt and I were head to the coast last year and was passed by a Prius doing at least 80. Given my distaste for the Prius and there kind I immediately down shifted to begin an all out pursuit to prove my fossil fuel was far superior to its batteries and fossil sipping.

Alas the pursuit was cut short by a sensible wife in the passenger seat with a simple comment "quit being an idiot" knowing the pursuit was over I returned to my soft rock k103 and gently swayed my head to the melody of Norah jones.

Mostly tru story Prius doing 80, wife calling me am idiot, which is daily, pursuit, ok so most all of it is true, dammit I am the young one here and older than you bastards....

haha.. i call them PRI_ASS cause they either think the car is fast or they cant figure out where the gas peddle is.. either way i try to never be behind them for long.. haha funny your wife says that.. I always get the smart ass remark of DO you feel better now? or Was that necessary? I dont know what it is and coast drivers though.. i hate the ones that go slow in the single lane then when its double they speed up.. and what really grinds my gears is the jackholes that then try to race you as you pass them.. last summer i had a honda pilot do that.. pffft..

hey brandon, your dc header with sswork's flex pipe holding up well still?
was saving up for asp header but decided its not worth $1250 against $320 for dc. so i just ordered dc header and will replace the flex under warranty if it breaks in a year. after that will have to order the same flex pipe as yours.

also i might be ordering a aspec sideskirts and if I do, I no longer need the '06~'08 sides. wanna take them and repaint them for your car? '06 version have more flare compared to '04~'05 ones.

Happens about 50-60% of the time. Had that happen yesterday with a blue cab. The driver was doing 20-25 in a 35. When I had the chance to pass he sped up. I soon realized he must have been going slow on purpose just to piss me off because I had passed another driver before him.

See this post (watch video) from Ramblings:

If only...

Why not get the CT header? Have they not resolved the rattle on the at tranny yet? Could probably remedy that with a little spacer after the cat. I think a lot of the problem was the exhaust wasn't long enough? So it would rattle at idle... Eg pulled to far forward

my header is still going strong.. no issues with the loud hiss. the first week i had the header it hissed and sounded horrible.. then i got a vibrant flex and the internal mesh busted out on me.. the SSworks not 1 damn complaint..

been thinking of trading in the car recently.. after seeing all the rock chips from the wifes driving back and forth on the highway .. i am thinking SuV would handle it better.. after that selling the truck for a bigger truck and calling it good.. i would love another car but i might have to put that on hold till i sell more puppies again.. our male will be in shows next year too so hoping to stud him a few times as well.. anywho if i sell it soon ill have some parts to sell
