Holy grid-lock Batman!

Traffic is a nightmare today. Mix a little rain in with a couple holidays and some silver topped drivers and you get the perfect shitstorm of bad traffic.

What ever you do, don't come downtown today. People are driving the wrong way on 1-way streets, lost in the Max tracks, and the entire area is a-wash with relatives from California driving 1995 Buick LaSabres.

Laughing at white Legacy until I saw the numbers...Can't take it to them, they are the competition. Perrin Performance across the freeway would be a better choice, but they don't have a dyno.

Haha, that's funny the same issue comes up on the 4G TL side. I don't get it. I understand that some people want a softer ride, but then I say, "test drive."

I read one that the poster complained about the TL seats. Dude really? Sure sometimes a car is not the right fit for you. That's why you test drive it. The HVAC guy that did our home A/C didn't like the TL seats, so he bought a MAXIMA because it was more comfortable. Duh.

Somewhere along the line people lost touch with the REAL reason why you should want a aftermarket wheel...weight.

I've been looking at these for the TL

TR Motorsports MT1, 18x8.5, 18-1/2lbs, $300ea.

-OR-

Enkie RPF-01, 18"x8.5, 18-1/4lbs, NOW LESS THAN $300 on the Rack.

<$2,500 with Michelin pilot SS summer rubber & TPMS...

staying with the same size wheel diameter?? with that body style i would think a size up would look better.. and with the weight savings on the enkei (that also makes those in a 19) i would think it would be a better buy.. only problem is everyone and there mother has those rims if you can afford it i would do WedsSports.. and isnt your car maroonish? id stay with a silver color or maybe black

We are running the 19" HPT's now:

Nice looking wheel, but...I did some research and found that a narrower, lighter set-up is faster. The Enkie is a proven, well built product. The RPF-01 comes in black too.

WedsSport TC105N

TR Motorsports MT1

Same wheel??? Really close huh?

The WedsSport TC105N is 9-1/2" Too wide for my taste. It would fill out the wheel well nicely, but I'm looking for performance, not bling. Some of those guys at PIR told me that they took 10 sec off their laptime just by running lighter/narrow set-up and getting the psi dailed in (w/nitrogen).

i think the TR wheel is going to weigh more then the WedsSports.. those enkeis in 19s will weigh less then your 19s what does your stock ones weigh with tires? the enkei alone will be 20lbs depending on width.. will look better too youll probably save 3+lbs per wheel with the enkeis thats enough to probably make a noticeable difference

Yep, the Weldsport looks like it has a thinner center hub. I keep meaning to take one of the 19" HPT's off to see what the total weight is, but Carrie sleeps days right above the garage.

We'll see if I have any money after sinking it all into this house.

i wouldn't do 18s on the 4g tl. it'll look tooooo small. go with 19" rpf1 in matte black. rpf1's are sexy wheels especially in 19s.

and that vtec video reminds me of this one

Next purchase will be Hondata, then a new phone because I'm getting to old to read this tiny 2-1/2" diagonal screen on this BB Tour1 with bifocals.

Might even go back to a used BB Storm2. IDK

4G TL is far to much of a luxury looking car for RPFs IMO. I'd roll the rj wheels that min pointed out or get some varianzas.

Yephe , I agree, they would look like poop. But I wont see them from the drivers seat.

Probably never become a reality because Carrie will throw a fit if she finds out I spent $2,500 on a set of wheels and tires we didn't need. We're not married, but we are. It's difficult because we have finacial ties that bind us even though our money is separate. So if I bring home anything new and expensive I have to drop it in a puddle outside, and if she sees it I say, "Oh, that fishing rod was my Dads."

that works out once a while for me. "got a killer deal and saved even more by trading in the oem parts/wheels."

one reason i keep my stash money in cash and never use plastics to pay for something related to cars.

when i lowered the fx, it was pretty nerve wrecking because it lowered much more than i expected. but luckily she never noticed and just told her yesterday that fx needs an alignment sometime next week since it never got an alignment done past 2 years and if its not done, it'll cause premature wear on tires, mpg decrease

Carrie is a smart girl. She's got one more degree than me and I'm a bad liar. However, there is always a little wiggle room in the budget. Girl shoes are expensive.

We don't share a bank account, she tells me how much money she needs each month and I hand it over. It's always on the conservative side. On the other hand, when it comes to the house or the cars, I foot the bill for improvements and repairs.

In the end I pay less because I make less (way less) then she does. When we met our paychecks were about the same, now she makes three times what I do. So...I'm lucky.

Can't believe we are still together after all these years.

Sitting here waiting for 2pm RB game. Was going to go out but it started raining, besides I can just run down to the store for beer and avoid the three department gauntlet of DUI patrols I would face on the way home.

I decided not to go with the Hondata reflash. After a seven word e-mail reply regarding the TL ECU and this unwarranted arrogance:

How can we get Hondata to buy off on that idea?

We need to keep doing it this way! =P

Even the honda accord found a way to get a harness to work on their car for the Hondata K-pro unit.
