ya they dont care for competition.. nor people trying to put there company down.. they are really good on what they do and have been around since tuning became important for hondas, but when you only have a couple people there and tons of orders to do all the time it makes it hard for them to get much work done

im sure what they can do is possible for anyone to figure out its just devoting the time to do it

The arrogant attitude that Hondata puts out reminds me of a good restaurant that is really busy and hard to get into. That kind of approach will only work for so long before people realize there are other places to eat and take their money elsewhere. How long would you wait for food?

The $300 cp-e intake I bought in lieu of the Hondata reflash arrives when I’m at work. Hmm, I’ll be taking a long lunch break on that day.

It doesn't matter if you're the only one or not doing something, being arrogant is poor customer service. Marco is a prime example of what arrogance earns you. I also believe that Hondata products are morbidly over priced for what you get, if only more ecu tuning was available for Honda's the competitive playing field would change.

Brandon is right, Hondata is tiny, over worked and under staffed, but instead of blowing off the community they could just explain why they choose not to position themselves in the market in a polite manner. Perhaps something like, there isn't a huge turner following for the RDX at this time and given our workload we are unable to support the RDX at this time. If there is more interest in the future we may pursue a RDX tuning solution.

Bam, solved with good customer service and just maybe customers like Marco would be inspired to wait or to go out and generate more customers via the forums!

Jay will chew my nuts I'm sure for sassing Hondata

i think honda makes ecu really hard to tack into which makes ecu tuning really hard. years ago i took my tsx to unichip (headquarter is in hillsboro) to see if they can come out with any solution, but they forfeited it saying its impossible to get ecu reflashed.

why don't you take the rdx to unichip and see if they can come out with anything. they even came out with a plug & play system for the fx35 and it can be flashed with any maps.

btw... diamond shopping is much worse than buying a new car.
every freaking stones are different with different price tag even though they are rated the same...
spent about 6~8 hours a day (sat, sun, mon) trying to find that perfect stone with right price... have no idea why ladies are into diamonds... worthless stones that isn't even commonly traded..

Diamonds are all about the clarity and cut. So the carets are the same but the more expensive have better depth and clarity with a more precise cut. For britt I had a diamond passed down by my grandfather and we had a custom ring made by a guy named Dean Pasket in downtown ptown. He buys diamonds as well. I'd give him a shout, I'll dig for his card.

Lookin to tie the knot eh?

probably in four to six months. on paper, its been already tied

for the cut grade, we trusted the certified report since we only looked at the ones are certified by gia. but problem with picking the right one was on clarity. even though two diamonds are rated under same clarity (vvs1, vvs2, vs1, vs2, si1,si2, etc...) some have more inclusions than the other. also some with lower rating had less inclusion than the higher rated, higher priced diamond. so it was very time consuming to land on the one that wasn't overrated and overpriced than the actual condition of the stone.

Sass Hondata..... lol you aint the first yo. Take a number. I'm first in line for RDX FP. Hell I can't even get a reflash yet. I WOULD DRIVE MY RDX DOWN THERE IF IT MEANT I COULD GET THEM TO MAKE FP FOR IT.

You'd better believe that the owner of flashprotuning.com wants FP for his car... so hard

You can call it arrogance, but really, the overall volume of Hondata's market subsists of ricers with chitty cars... so when they see people opening their mouths with hateful words, they blow you off. What do you expect?

i'll give him a try if the stone we made a deposit on falls short of our expectation. got a diamond that wasn't certified and with the deposit we made, jeweler will send it to gia to get certified with proper numbers.

-------------------

got a alignment done on the fx today. another night and day experience from Alignment Specialties. ride got jittery over period of time (thought it was over inflated tires) even before lowering it. but after the alignment today, it drives like a dream again like when i first bought it. much more comfortable to drive on highways since it stopped jittering with road imperfections.

^Need to spend more than 30min with the game to find out if I really like it. As usual, the intro is really cheesy.
It also seems to be really picky with the player position. It took me a long time to toss 2 guys out of the windows in the first fight scene. We will see...

Welcome New members! Got to figure out my paint before I meet with you. Maybe some of you could help me figure out why I have new rock chips all over the RDX after getting my new intercooler.

You're just noticing the scratches you've always had. Acura paint is notoriously easy to chip

Initially that's what I thought. However, after looking over the car really closely I found several (like 20) new chips that I'm positive were not there before.

I'm confident for two reasons;

1. I polished and sealed the car right before they got it.

2. Location of the scratches/chips.
  • Passenger rear door (top side???)
  • Drivers side (both doors)
  • Rear of the vehicle
These are unusual places for rock chips.
There are also new chips/scratch on the front fender, but this was expected.

Really odd, because it's not like someone did this on purpose.

She hasn't driven the RDX in a year. It may have been during a test drive, but I'm guessing more likely something in the shop (like sparks/shards from a grinder).

You would have to drive behind a dump truck full of rocks with a poorly secured load-and-have a passenger in the back with a rear door open as a shield.

The car was far from perfect when they got it, but the number of new chips are indesputible. I know that it happened when they had the car, mainly because I had just gone over the entire vehicle and then it sat in my garage. But there is no way to prove it.

Bummed out about it because it's like looking at a 100k mile paint job on a 50k car.

Maybe I should get it wrapped with skulls...
