Yup, first pic says issues. You can just tell with Hondas when you've looked at enough of them.

There's so much drivetrain loss with the AWD. But I really enjoy the RDX in 1st/2nd gear. Hopefully the couple mods I'm doing will help give 3rd some pep as well. And I'm still pushing Hondata's buttons about FlashPro.

^ love the side by side comparison.. feel a difference or do you just feel like it better throttle response now?

flashpro with a turbo rdx would be heaven!! my only concern after that is how much can the drive train really take after running more boost..

Finally installed the cp-e intake. SEE (post 32):

https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rdx-performance-parts-modifications-162/cp-e-intake-back-stock-829134/

That inside bolt on the OEM air box was reallt hard to get at. I ended up with a mix of extensions from the cordless drill and the socket set. Had one rattle (fixed), but otherwise satisfied. Some drivers would probably not like the extra noise as the BOV bleed and dump are really loud. I will run a vid soon.

NSX in PDX?

Still waiting to hear from Acura of Portland. Hmm, another reason not to deal with them.

Wrote my sales guy at Tonkin, he got back to me within 5 minutes.

"Great to hear from you. The NSX concept will not be at the auto show this year. Unfortunately there is only one concept vehicle and it will only be displayed at Detroit, NY and LA.

Sorry, everyone is anxious to see this one including myself."

It's for the best. I don't need yet another car to lust over. Need to finish the RDX so I can move on to a couple of minor fixes for the TL (like tint and debage).

Haven't been here much lately. not even to lurk...
Baby # 2 on the way, had to get rid of the tl Between mdx and highlander the we both leaned towards the toyota. (since i work there means cheaper price, parts, service)

Nice vehicle and all... just got used to driving an SUV finally. But thats until baby gets here. Then I get to drive an IS250. Every highlander on the road I see is driven by soccer moms and/or 60+ men!!! Eventually I would like to get another car for myself so i can get to modding again to make it my own lol but for now it doesn't bug me much...
Just recently tinted windows, clear bra, and last but not least 6000k HIDs installed. Only thing next on the list will be wheels and maybe a skybox. If the 3rd row is in use there is absolutely no cargo space, probably enough to put 2 small suit cases.

anyway, took some phone pics of the hids!

IS i will be driving:

fucking-a home loans are a pain to apply for. You'd think they'd make it easier!

Highlander is not a bad pick-up, will last forever and great for kiddos. Plus if we get another skiff of snow you'll be moving around no problem.

^ its too bad banks charge 5-6K just to refi a home loan.. would love to take part in the lower interest rates.. Heard Obama say they are working on something to make it easier for homeowners just to do straight refis to take advantage of new rates but havent seen shit happen yet.

One side of Obama says he wants to make it easier, then he turns around and wants to tack an additional quarter of a point to mortgage rates to pay for extending unemployment benefits. That point would last forever... Just for two more months of unemployment tax breaks. We need to reduce taxes by at least 10% for all income brackets

We need to reduce spending. You would not believe the amount of waste that I see on a daily basis. Every time we get more money we spend it. If they gave us less, we would stop buying new office furniture.
They actually hired a group of consultants who told us to eliminate 12 positions. We only got rid of one, and the idiot still works here. He just made a lateral move when someone left.

Interest rates are so damned low... they are making this recession last forever. They need to go back up so we can bleed out, hit reset, and then get back on our feet. Of course that's only dancing around the real issue...

Preach it. The spending is out of control, this deficit spending is fucking ridiculous. The stupid Fed printing money to pay for wars/foreign aid thus diluting the currency into toilet paper status. Democrat or Republican, they're basically the same in actions, its only the tune that's different. You can't spend your way out of a recession, you cannot borrow your way out of debt.

Hey, it's been a while since I last posted. Funny you're all talking about re-fi. I've been hashing the idea of re-fi'ing with my wife. We've got 12 years left on a 15 yr, 4.5% loan. I really don't want to add any more years so a re-fi to another 15 yr loan is a no. There are some banks that have 10 yr products, but they typically don't list on their websites.

Anyone know what the rates for a 10 yr re-fi are? I think we only have to finance $170-180k.

CAI,dc header and exhaust with R/t cat, hondata intake mani gasket,

i would think the flashpro would help alittle since you can also control the DBW, and im sure i could get a few more degrees on the cam to squeeze out another 5 or 6 hp.. but im just curious if im going to see anymore? a 15HP increase from where im at now is alot specially if its tuned right.

I give up. If anyone is going to get my money they better have a hot receptionist and free snacks in the lobby. I'm not paying someone to do nothing (HPF) then sending/shipping my shit to Torrance, CA.

Yeah, it'll help. My buddy Vit who created the eDyno is local and he's offering free tunes to TSX's with a free hour on a local physical dyno. He does a full street tune and then puts your car on the dyno to perfect it. He's trying to put together some solid base maps to share with people on our site - that's the real motivation behind the promotion. http://flashprotuning.com/blogs/vitv...ree-tune-offer

Since the car has map based tuning, mods outside of what the reflash was developed for, really mess with the fueling.

oh sweet.. i would have to sell my 04 ECU thats reflashed before i could get the flashpro which im sure would take time.. =( but free tuning is an awesome deal

ya ive thought of the 06-08 tb with a 06 intake manifold and 06-08 exhaust cam & gear but honestly we have been thinking of trading the car in for a 08 tsx so it would be a wasted purchase

He's back on the Hondata tare. Having to pay a third party for the reflash and then send the ECU himself down to Hondata. Apparently he takes issue with Hondata refusing to cut their dealers out of the process. lol

Yeah, I understand the timing may not be perfect, but thought you should at least know as it'd reduce the overall cost of getting it since you wouldn't have to pay for a tune.

I know tuning alone would be another 100-200 depending which makes it almost worth while to jump into.. but with 700 for the flashpro, 200 for the 07-08 ecu, plus 50 for the harness, then still take it to acura for the keys to be matched with the ecu which is another 150 bucks.. ugh.. expensive hobby.. really wish it would of been easier for the 04-06 TSX owners.. could be saving 400

Fair enough. The mods you have now would just transfer to a new one if you so wanted...
yes very true..
