Bummed out about it because it's like looking at a 100k mile paint job on a 50k car.

Maybe I should get it wrapped with skulls...
Thats crazy. Even if they'd been using a grinder near it, I can't imagine it causing chips like that. I've done all sorts of crazy ish around my cars in my garage and never had it cause chips.

Now what I have had happen is the shards of metal I was grinding landed on the paint and stuck to it. Looked like tons of little chips, and then they rusted a couple days later and I had rust spots all over the car. Attacked it with a claybar and they all came out... not sure how closely you've looked at it, but maybe clay will help?

Mild increase in hp. A little more tq punch under partial throttle. I plan on making a HD accelerometer vid (adyno.net) after I get the cp-e pipe. It will seal the deal and then I'm done (with underhood mods). Still need to tint the front windows.

Ford is stepping up it's game. The interior still feels lacking. Oh and that emblem! OMG looks like an emblem that would appear on Fred Flinstone's ride. If they could just revitalize that emblem into something that wasn't a scripted face...

The Focus is going to be a hot little hatch too. I would consider it, if not for my bad experience with the V-8 SHO cam shaft.

On another note...My "testing" has caused the RDX gas mileage to plummet down to 14mpg. lol

Missed these posts... that's a good idea. I never thought of hitting them with the clay bar.

Thanks

Found the ugly green beast on-line today..lol on the lambo doors.

Too late for the ETS intake, I'm keeping the cp-e. Looks like it's on the brown truck headed to my house right now:
UPS tracking shows

Don't get me wrong, I like those guys at ETS. They killed my battery and instead of calling me for a credit card number they just bought another one, stuck it in and recoded the NAV & radio. Nice.

I will take some of the entire set-up once I get the intake installed.

Apparently, they killed the battery by leaving the back hatch ajar. There is a tiny (glove box sized) light in the back that I found to be useless, now I know it will drain the battery over a weekend.

Hey I like that little light...lol. I'm pretty sure you can switch it off though.

And yeah the stock cover fits over the TMIC. http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/R...Top-Mount.html

That's easy. There's already a couple that work great. I'm likely going to get this one: http://www.turbosmartusa.com/product...baru-dual-port

Urrg! Fucking cp-e intake came missing the screws to hold the MAS on. They are shipping them to me.
Might just go to Fasten-all and get my own (8-32 stainless steel).

Way to homogenized for my taste.
Looks like an offspring of the love fest that occurred in the parking lot of a Nickleback show between an FX-35 and a CX-7!

i like the FX35 by it being a AWD version v6 i think it has as much potential as a TL and the body structure has potential for a lip kit with it too

I'm happy that Acura is ditching the space-ship looking crap they have out right now for a more "car" looking vehicle. It seems the Japanese are hell-bent on sending us to the moon when we get in our cars. Lets face it, if there's no Starbucks on the moon we aren't going. Give me a car that looks like a car! German's are still giving us cars and they're still selling like hot cakes.

While the RDX may seem a bit homogenized, it's still well crafted and doesn't defy the laws the physics in it's design (like the recently redesigned Lexus RX which has so many mismatched lines it's like my daughter spewed formula on their blue prints).

I'm stuck on the boy racer look of the 1G RDX. But, the biggest issue I have with the 2G RDX is the lack of "SH" on the rear in the AWD platform.

2010-12 was just MMC. That fugly facelift in 2010 was one of the worst looking models that Acura ever put out. I still scratch my head in disgust every time I see one (Sorry mucter). deleting the chrome around the fogs helps a bit, but I was really worried about Acura for a while with the shit they were cranking out.

AND - Yes, I now officially hate the beak on my '09TL. I would buy the RJ grille right now if I wasn't broke.

ROFL. I always thought the face of the RDX looked like a dogggg until the refresh. The refresh actually made me ok with buying the car. But then, I REALLLY loved the look of my 09 TSX which is in the same design language. To each their own.

the 10-12 RDX would be better if you could add a lip to help with the front end but there is no hope with it.. the 07-09s were lucky to have that option

Yeah I hear ya on the look of the lip area, but it just gives me an excuse to haul ass out of downward driveways while turning with no regard for anything since it has the clearance.

Traction control off, check.
Foot to the floor, check.
Oversteering, check.
Giggling, check.

win

I thought about adding the lip, but I'm waiting for more time to pass and rock chips (or someone to hit me). If I wait too long there will not be any left. Ditto with the Ron Jon grille fro the 4G TL ($780 while they last).

Yep, I had asked them if they would do a diamond mesh for me and they sent me a link to some expanded steel I could buy on-line, and told me to do it myself.

I think we all know what that looks like:

you can get that same diamond mesh at lowes for 10 bucks and spend another 6 on a can of spray paint

No one brought that up. That's all you. We were talking 1G vs 2G RDX.
