Actually, ironically, if I lower the RDX, it'll upset my mother in law. She absolutely loves the RDX, thinks its the perfect height for getting in and out of easily, loves the headlights, the backup cam, heated seats, all the toys, yes she even likes that it has a turbo and thus torque. She wants one bad...lol.
#6042
^ i doubt that.. it only lowers the RDX 1.0 up front and 1.3 in the rear
#6045
eibach springs.. only company that made springs for the RDX and they discontinued making them so now no one makes them for the RDX.. i was thinking about it im sure you could mix match a set for the RDX its just knowing what will work
haha.. ya thats been brought up before.. i tried to have FOSHIZZLE as a tag or even SHIZZLE but it never happened

Good luck. $600, $500, for springs is.... pass. I don't even like springs at $300. If I'm going to lower a car, I'd rather have properly valved struts to match.
#6059
might be out of the market.. we will see..
dont blame ya.. honestly after having the coils on the tsx i kinda miss the old spring setup.. honestly if i went back to spring i would get the adjustable shocks to go with it just to help
#6060
I Quit
Would agree with Jay, springs without struts sucks. Personal experience here! As for the coils you're on Brandon, they're stiff, the springs are stiff too. So your ride is harsh. Tein CS would be a nice ride on coils, soft like my H-Techs with adjustable struts. Though the Koni/H-Tech combo would prolly be a better ride than the CS and half the cost.
Now that the blues are all settled in, the ride with the H-Techs is compliant. No complaints here. Good budget set up IMO

ya i know i guess im more of a backroad racer then a track racer.. need that little slack in the corners for those bumps..
honestly ill probably leave them on till i sell the car but if i get super annoyed and have money to burn ill probably go Konis with teins or something

I am also worried about those OEM struts. We shall see if anyone develops a coil-over system (I can't even find the RDX coil-over thread now).
#6063
^ if its successful im sure its going to be a year or so out before they do mass production. and im guessing its going to be spendy.. im thinking in the 1300+ range
#6064
...still trying to find the thread. How weird is that? Have you guys looked for it lately?

Bad start with ETS TMIC!
Very disappointed with ETS so far...
I'm interested to see what, and if, they reply to me.
Drove to ETS as instructed to drop off the RDX this morning at 8:30am and no one was at the shop. Waited for an hour and then drove back home. Lots of headers, tubes, and several cars in the back of the shop with hoods open seen through the window, but not one person.
No "we decided to take another day off" e-mail, no "closed on the 26th" sign on the door, no reply to my e-mail or phone call.
Very unprofessional and a waste of 3 hours of my time.
Will update if they contact me.

Primarily Mitsu intercooler manufacture, but they also make Civic headers and plumbing for Audi, Dodge, Mazda, Nissan etc.
Pissed, but not counting them out like the folks at HorsepowerFreaks who NEVER called me back.

I think it was poor miscommunication on there part most places were closed yesterday.. they probably werent thinking about it and gave you a day to come in to begin with..

My latest ETS update...
Dropped of the RDX this morning. Got an apology, it was a last minute Friday afternoon discision to not open on Monday. I like the shop, they are small but doing a good amount of business judging from the amount of alluminum cores & CNC tubes that were stacked up. Check out my post with pics:

so when will the prototype be done?
#6077
#6078
thats not bad at all.. so when will you hit the dyno??
any idea on what it might cost once they have a finished product?

#6079
I want to verify that they will pay for the dyno run (X 2) before I say "strap it down." I might pay for 1 run after new TMIC & Hondata, but I'm not paying for a baseline run.
The Speed3 TMIC that ETS stocks (basically the same as what they are building me) is $595.
I'm really looking forward to this set-up. I'm a little burned out on the RDX. Remember, my next car was supposed to be an S2000, instead we bought a TL that I never get to drive. Still pissed about that.
