Damn this rain Despite all the rainwater on my car, I can still see dirty patches all over it. I just wanna wash that crap off of it, since I hear it's not good for the paint.

But of course everytime I wash my car in not-summer weather, I get funny looks from people driving by.

chris,
i think that thump might be the sway bar bushings or worn out shocks.
before getting new shocks, try regreasing the bushings first

Just stoping in to say wassup to everyone since im mostly a lurker now. Lol

Chris, first thing i would do is check the center shock nut and retighten it. Sounds like the deflection bushing in the top hat is worn and theres probably some play between the bushing and the stop washer. Tightening it would take care of it if it is indeed the issue. While your at it check the two 14 mm mounting nuts to make sure those didnt go loose, mainly the rear one.

The price is just a number. Make an offer! I'll be they got it for 19K. Besides, sounds like you need another truck.

^ true that on the price..

worked on the truck this evening.. got it rolling again =) the screw on the rotor (cap and rotor) came undone which cause it not to fire anymore.. replaced the fuel filter at the same time just in case.. and the spark plugs too.. one of the plugs was pretty bad ill post pics up tomorrow evening.. the others were covered in carbon and oil..

Agreed, may you gain be financial, and my loss be fatty. Hey where did you get your grille? RJ>? I want the one he did for the 4G TL but he will not work with me on the mesh background.
As for the 3-some, I picked the wrong girl. But I still have the internet!!!!

got mine on ebay straight from japan.. 2 weeks shipping

bummer he wont do the grill.. if i ever get around to getting a vacuum pump ill beable to dable more the carbon fiber world and make my own parts.. of course if you want it to be the same and just want the carbon look you can always A) get the vinyl or B) do a carbon overlay (which is alittle more spendy)

I think he just wants me to buy the primed ones he already has at the shop. I wanted a honey comb design for the back (like factory), but he told me to remove the one that come with it and put some expanded steel back there;

I can buy that crap at Industrial Export over by your place. I asked him for this grille;

I want him to change out the mesh...not me or APEX. If we fuck it up, we waste $645!!!

I'm just pissed off because he wouldn't do it. Seemed to me that if he wanted to make a sale he would put a little more effort into making the product what I want, not just tell me to slap my own mesh on the back. Had an even harder time working with XLR8. I guess the economy is picking up because they don't want to earn my business. At $645 for a piece of ABS, I should get it the way I want.

the products is most likely produced by some sort of machine and changing the backing is changing the process which = labor which = time which = they don't want to bother for a one off part regardless of the economy.

Example; it costs honda billions just to tweak the models every two years because they have to update all of the machines to do it.

Think if you're just a small timer like RJ, tweaking the machine could cost more than it's worth.

Not in defense of RJ or XLR8 at all, they should at least be honest with you instead of suggesting you do it yourself...

I can see it both ways.. mainly if they are saying a consumer can put it on then it shouldnt be too hard for them to put it on..

and chris's point yes if they need a machine to do it then cost per wouldnt be worth it..

drive the truck alittle more over the weekend.. boy what a difference.. im guessing that rotor was going loose for a while. cause the truck seems peppier..

also good news.. our bulldog is starting to show signs of being pregnant.. we will find out if she is 100% on friday so if anyone is interested in a puppy let me know

Thanks for the advice both of you. If I did it myself (I mean if APEX here in PDX did it) I would probably be happier with the outcome anyhow.

RJ grill might be expensive but its only grill that looks good on the 4g TL right now.
And maybe you could've chimed in during the whole R&D process while it was in the makings.

Btw... Even craps like these are over $500 @ ebay

Wife actually liked that one. I've seen it at the dealer and although it looks better in person, it is no Ron Jon.

You like that grill?
I saw that grill in person at Ron Tonking too and build quality is

----------------------------

I just cleaned throttle body on my 240 today. Couldn't believe how much gunk it came out from that little hole. Also replaced fuel filter about a week ago and old filter was fully clogged...

Sometimes its amazing to see older engine like this run so good even without proper maintenance.

^ Nice work, I just noticed the "Black Ice" in the background with that corney MSWord font "Chiller". I've seen that font before...

My co-worker put that on my computer about a month before he died. As soon as I logged in and saw it, I knew who did it. Always lock your shit before you go on a break.

Ugh, my DEQ tags expire this month. Have yet to get any forms in the mail so I can take it in and get it over with. I remember 2 years ago I got my forms like the 3rd week of December.... do they usually wait until the last couple weeks to send them to you?

Meh, it's just kind of pain in the ass I'm sure if I do get it, it'll be like the end of the month.
