Talking

^Just saw the Jaguar prototype in PM with the twin turbine powered 4wheel electric motor 800hp beast and realized that we all own the last of a dead technology. Personally I’m happy and feel like we have pushed a poor power beyond its limits and it’s about time. On the other hand, it is a sad goodbye to the only source of power I have studied in school.
Mark this post, I will drive that Jag if I have to sacrifice every half dollar I make for the next 2 years!

^ make sure you do a video of you driving the Jag.. or it will be denied as ever happening =)

technology wise.. i love that we swapped from the cap and rotor system to the coil packs no having to worry about replacing it every 30K miles.. i do how ever miss the return lines on fuel rails and the option of replacing my fuel filter.. specially with ethonal gas becoming more popular i just feel like the filter should be replaced more often.. i know after running sea foam in the car my gas mileage got great for about 3 to 4 months.. now its poop again..
oh and if you really want to drive a car that is amazing test drive the EVO mr.. i still cant get over how fun it is to drive specially coming from a small engine displacement.. and dont even get me started on the AWD system it puts the RDX to shame

Until last month I thought that Sea Foam was something that washed up ashore on a beach trip. My dealer tried to sell me their $70 version and a laughed at the rep. My favorite CS rep got fired for giving favors and now I’m lucky to get a fucking key chain. If you knew me better, you’d know that I follow through with everything. Yes, I will film it.

70 bucks to do sea foam? wow what a ripoff.. its 8 bucks for the bottle i think.. all you need is a driveway and a good time of day to piss everyone off with your smoke screen you do and for the gas tank all you need is a good long driving trip and it will help that out

^Already did that. What I need is the rest of the songs (like 3,000 of them). I burned all my CD's on to it and sold them 5 years ago. The computer crashed and I had to reimage it and lost all the songs (had std). Now all I have is the i-pod with the songs that I can’t sync with the new empty i-tunes. Really starting to drive me crazy as I know there has got to be a way to do it without buying software. I read that you can make a copy of the library on your i-pod and then load that on i-tunes, but I can’t make a copy without having it loaded somewhere. Very frustrating.

problem is that witj iPod and apple's stance on musicians rights it's very difficult without third party software to transfer songs that were not purchased via the iTunes store to any machine. This lock down is so people can't "share" music amongst each other.

On a few side notes, I sailed my Ark into work today. And props to the new senate for moving the tax-cut bill forward. Last thing America needs now is higher income taxes. Robin Hood tactics of stealing from the rich to feed the poor are great fairy tales but rarely pan out in reality. The more wealthy the wealthy are the more they buy and the more they hire which in the long run provides more jobs for the jobless. Tax hikes are short term solutions to long term problems.

^Unfortunately not. There is a free file share program that promises to allow file bits to transfer from one file to another without the issue of copyright, but I’m hesitant to download anything at this point. I have another laptop from 2003 that I think I’ll fire up and experiment with as it is slow but reliable.
It is important to note that some of the files were backed up on a Maxtor external HD but FAILED to reload properly. Note to all; before you spend a bullet on back-up make sure it will properly store your files.

^ ever hear of partician magic.. you can save a clean image of your HD on a different partician then if you get a virus or something you dont like then you can just re-image it and not have to worry about it.

I wonder if Nero would allow you to transfer files from a device to the ripper program i know it has an option to convert audio format

I'm setting up a disk right now that will re-load everything automatically. I will simply load it and step back, all files will re-image in correct order without user input (drivers need a specific load order to work).

I never thought about all the songs on the laptop, and I assumed that my i-pod was my HD back-up for music.

lolol get this, guys.

First a backstory. A few years ago when I bought my CL from Ron Tonkin Acura I also got an extended warranty. Up until a few months ago I've never had to use it once. In September of this year I took my car in for a timing belt/water pump service. After the service they did an inspection and saw I had two broken motor mounts. They called me while I was at work and asked if I wanted them to do the work. Since I can't take calls at work (I'm on a production floor) I was rushed to get off the phone with them.

It wasn't until the day after I picked up my car that I remembered I had an extended warranty that I could have used! I called up Ron Tonkin, then faxed my invoice to the warranty provider. A few weeks later they sent me a letter saying they couldn't reimburse me for the work since I didn't notify them ahead of time.. Had I did notify them ahead of time, they would have covered the work (says so in the contract) but whatever. Talked to RT Acura's service manager and he said he'd call the warranty provider and coax them into turning off the douche switch and paying up.

Fast forward to today. I get an envelope from Ron Tonkin... WITH A CHECK THAT'S ADDRESSED TO RON TONKIN. The bank that works with the warranty provider sent Tonkin a check, and they just forwarded it to me! There's nothing I can do with it!

Besides send it back to them, have them deposit it, then cut their own check to me.

You need to find the office manager and have her hook you up with a check. You should be able to cash it at RTA.

Well Tonkin just told me to mail it back to them, so they can write my name on the check. My bank of course said they would reject it if I tried to deposit it, since it says "Pay to the order of Ron Tonkin Acura"

Just can't get over it. I lol'd almost instantly after I saw the check for the first time, but apparently they saw it and thought "derp, looks about right!"

thats all you can do too is laugh at the morons.

pshh.. speaking of bolt issues.. my wife has been driving the TSX lately so i never know whats going on with it.. this morning i went out to go warm up the car for her since it was frosty out.. (like a good husband) and i hear what sounds to be an exhaust leak.. so im like WTF.. bend down to look under the car at the exhaust lone behold its just hanging on for dear life..
i go into the house and ask my wife if she noticed anything wierd about the exhaust she is all ya its been louder but i dont know why.. im like really???!!!??! so i break the news she cant drive the tsx today cause someone neglected to tell me an issue.. (skipping forward after having to drive her into work)

i look under the car to see the whole issue.. 1 bolt had came undone completely and had fallen out. another was unbolted all the way so the nut was missing yet the only thing keeping it from droping down was the last bolt was so tight from compression it was just sitting there.. I swear i could of had a huge issue on my hand if it all would have fallen down while she was driving.. cause she wouldnt stop she would of just let it scrape the whole way home.. ugh.. wives i tell ya!!!

i should just trade in my pos truck for a truck that is an auto and have her drive it.. then she can beat the crap out of it.. hit people with it. let the exhaust scrape and i can careless...

Yeah I used to work with a guy who owned an 06 TL. He ended up dumping it because the repairs were getting too costly. What caused the malfunctions? His wife! He said he'd let her drive it, and he could hear her cranking the key while the car was already running, and occasionally when shifting out of park, she'd just grind the shifter around pretty viciously, messing up the bushing, no doubt.

I think your friend may be stretching that one a bit.

06 TLs have "one crank" starting. Which means you dont have to hold the key forward to start it...Also im pretty sure it doesnt do anything if its already running. As for the park issue...The shifter in the car is connected to nothing but a plug...

Sounds like he just had one of those cars that give you issues.

^I hate shopping so much I actually try to get it ALL done by Thanksgiving.

btw wild stuff happening. My grandma flipped her Ford Expedition into a ditch, and I'm sure it's totaled. No worries about her health, though. According to the fire department she was able to pull herself out from her upside down car...

I remember when I got my DL at 18 a week later i went up to the mountains to go shooting.. i was coming back down off the mountain and thought hey i better pull over (so i can set up a CD to listen to) alittle since there was logging going on.. the road gave way and rolled down the mountain about 100 feet.. scared the bejesus out of me.. thought i was was a gonner for sure.. only thing that saved me was a dead tree 8 inches thick if it wasnt there i would of kept going another 400 feet into a reveane (sp?) had to climb out of the van through the back window since all the doors were stuck and run 2 miles before i found someone to drive me to the nearest place to call for help.. it sucked that day...
