To measure gains you HAVE to dyno the same car on the same dyno.
In any case, most Honda/Acura motors are very close in regards to power. The motors are not hand built(excluding the NSX), and the tolerances are very good. But age/wear like others have said will be the difference in your guy's case. Anything from the kind of oil you are running, to the kind of tranny fluid, to the state of your tranny, to the state of your motor, your tire selection(or tire pressure), etc.. they all play into a small difference in HP. Also like others have said, to know your gains, you can only compare to your own before and after dyno runs.

So I talked to the guy about the S/C, and I think it's goona have to die a wet dream. He said that it's being held (but sounds like the guy may not be able to come up with the money) - he has had many offers, and some were over the $3200 he is asking. Since I only offered him $2900 - I can't expect that he is going to be interested.
Oh well - probably for the best anyways. Now that the beer bong has worn off, it doesn't sound like one of my better purchase choices anyhow.

I want to know if that supercharged Ion redline motor would fit in my trunk - then I could go AWD (although it would take a little while for the back to catch up...lol)

Yeah, I also would have liked for Luke to have seen that rusty rustang that put up 630HP before the tires started spinning on the dyno, that was WAAAAAY impressive.
I still want to know how that dude drove the car though, he only had one hand.

His other hand probably fell off trying to shift so god damn fast.
I know - that was probably uncalled for. I'm sorry guy (Hey - was that Rick Allen?)

So... like there wouldn't be any lag while the turbo is spooling up because it would be razzi powered?

Good idea anyhow.
Well - I'm off to the office (not Wells, but my actual office at Nexus) - looks like I'll be down there for a few days as they don't have anyone at the office that is good with laptops.
I get to go down there and play a little catch-up, and hopefully I can get back to Wells soon. It's kind of nice to work down here.

Same power. GM rated the f body at 305 and the SS, WS6 at 320. Then upped them a couple horse in the following years. You are right, they are 'supposed" to have different horse power numbers but they don't. GM rated the Fbodys lower than the Vette for marking purposes. GM couldn't have the Fbodies making the same "advertised" horsepower as the "King of the Hill" vette.

Man of God.....
Hey..... I heard yesterday that for 09 there will be 3 new models of TL'S!! WOW, A basic = front drive standard motor. 2nd = AWD little bigger motor. Then the S-type!! 3.7L worth of 310-320HP! With the improved S-type package. Also SHAWD! Yes. Just thought you might want to know. I talked to a guy that saw the type S TL. He said it was very impressive. I believe his words were "drop dead gorgeous!"
