Not really. Did you notice how gutted that car was? Sorry, I not impressed with ecno boxs. Even if they are fast. A buddy Nate has a civic that whops me and I still think itsa gay.

Just for the record, I think Vegas and Monza builds are gay to. "Its light!" "Ya, but it looks like shit."

Brian, I am not going to dyno my Yukon. It would cost $30 in gas just to get there. 222,xxx mile stock 350 isn't going to do much.

The flex pipes are the mesh parts that are just above the E in surewinproducts and directly below the rear header attachment.

What the hell time is prom nowadays? Just go and tell him that you'll have it back in a couple of hours.

Anyone have any idea what time we are planning on doing this? I don't want to go and have to be reppin all by myself with some Andre the Giant GM mofo hovering over me.

I'm down for a meet.

So I wasn't sure at first, but I'm glad i did it. Not as spectacular as some of the numbers I've seen on here - but I'm not supercharged or anything either.

215.21 hp - 198.17 tq

Man - I hope I never run into that s10 or the 600+ HP stang. That thing looked stock (except for cobra written everywhere)

Josh:
187 tq and 212 hp

Dan:
185 tq and 209hp

I guess we proved that the pulley means absolutely nothing when it comes to HP gains. It may increase the throttle response, but it does nothing for the HP.

For the influencing numbers: 29 in Hg, 33% humidity, 60 degrees.

They have a viewer on the Hitech website that shows the dyno room and the monitor, it's labelled 'LIVE DYNO MONITOR'. too bad you didnt get to watch, actually, too bad you couldn't make it, you could have saved Dan a lot of embarrassment by having to have the lowest numbers of all the Acuras!

Hey - I want your supercharger. Is it actually being sold? If not - I will give you 2900 tomorrow shipped. If you are up for this deal, either PM me - or give me a call at (612) 636-8665 and I will paypal you tomorrow the entire amount. No BS'ing or deposits - you will get everything as soon as you say it's not sold.

If it is - congrats to you and the lucky SOB that got it

Are you comparing these two cars for thew gains from a underdrive pulley?

Not these two cars, Dan and I have the same setup with different brands of intake the only difference. I am comparing Jorge's 2004 and Brian's 2004. Brian does not have the pulley and Jorge does and Brian has a higher HP and Torque number.

No word yet from supercharger guy. Apparently he was not up at 2am drunk like I was.

Luke was saying that you pretty much can't use dyno's to compare much of anything besides the numbers from your own car. Basically comes down to the fact that you can dyno 2 identical cars and they will put up different numbers. I guess it makes sense since the numbers for all 3 pulls even varied a little.

So the guy said a week ago that there was someone interested in the s/c, and was putting a deposit down. But checking the thread, there is no "sold" sign or closing of the thread, so I thought that I would try to snag it from him. $2900 is a price that can't really be beat for an practically new supercharger. That would put me at about 300 whp. Then I wouldn't have to cry everytime I see a mustang at a light. I hate that I can't beat a stock GT. Torque-y little bastards.

He's correct in that they can build two motors and they can have two different HP numbers directly off the assembly line because of differences in the materials used to create the motor, the guy machining the cam had a hangover and I got screwed, etc. So yes, there are a lot of variables including the way a motor was run, how well the cylinders are broken in, how good the valves are sealed, etc. We had two identical GSX-R 750's that we took directly from the dealer to the dyno to begin tuning, and right off the bat one had 5 HP more than the other.

But, if Jorge puts an intake and a pulley on his car and the intake is 'supposed' to give 5 HP and the pulley 5HP, then theoretcially he should have 10HP more than the next average 2004 TL would, right? I know the only true way to determine that the pulley does nothing for HP would be to put the stock one on, run it on the dyno, put the aftermarket one on, run it on the dyno, and do it as quickly as possible so that the atmospheric conditions don't change, but I think that based on the numbers everyone put up, 3 of us having a pulley and one not, and the one that did not put up the best numbers indicates something.

If every single TL out down the same hp then yes. But that will not happen. The are many factors that come into play with how much a car will put down. I have seen cars with less mods beat the same cars that has more mods. I have seen stock ls1 cars dyno 290 at the wheels and others 320. This is were the term "Factory Freak" comes from. To measure gains you HAVE to dyno the same car on the same dyno.
