Thoughts?
I forgot depending on you tires the bigger wheels are not the greatest in snow. They have less traction.

I believe the pricing is right around for what your guy quoted you for. You could easily install this yourself. We could do an install meet this summer and we could all come and help you do the suspension. Save that $800 for a different mod!

Thanks man,
My advisor told me to get the adjustable ones from HeelToe and they will install them at Acura dealer. Since I am going to get the aspec suspension hopefully next spring he said that would be the route to go

Thanks for the info on the 19's. I love the way they look, but was nervous about how much I have to baby them now I normally try to avoid the pot holes or hennepin all together.

Oh i know... There are currently Toyo Proxes4 on there. I may get the KDW once they crap out on me. I don't drive it in the winter *with the exception of to the dealer the other day to have the new rims out on* so I am not too worrried about the snow, thats what my Xterra is for

General Gmax are dang cheap with a 45000 warranty.. any input?

I think thats what my advisor was telling me. He said to get the Comptech Camber Adj, R (rear arms) 04-08 UA6 TL 160-069 from heel toe (at a crazy shipping price) and have them installed first, then get the aspec suspension for 625. The dealer said it'd be 800 bucks to install it. I appreciate the offer for helping me put er all together, but I must admit I am nervous I would F' something up and not have a warranty to back it up.

First time I tried to do a mod was in my Buick TType, installed a sub incorrectly and fried my computer.. :why me: so been a little hesitant to do major stuff specially to the finicky TL

Aspec Suspension

Ok... so now the price went lower.. and is REALLY making me want to pull out the credit card and just charge this sucker... So besides my adjustable rear cambers and the Aspec Suspension would there be any other hidden objects that I may need before the suspension is complete?

What's up gents? Haven't been around here in a while, looks like you have been busy!

I've still got the Mini, took 2nd in DS last weekend at the autocross and signed up for the Texas National Tour in a couple of weeks. Should be fun getting smoked!

Yes like I said any time you lower the car you would need to take care of your camber issue . You should also get a front camber kit. I have a rear caber kit for my car which i will install this spring I am working on getting a front camber kit to install simultaneously. I have the A-Spec suspention already on and I don't want to mess up my new tires

World Superbike started last weekend! I haven't seen the F1 track in a while, I've been working in Denver and the track is east of the airport. Last I saw, it was being paved when I was flying in one night. I can't wait for the Austin race, it's going to be fun.

Ok cool thanks for the info man! Do you suggest the adjustable ones like my advisor indicated? Do you think that HeelToe would match that 576$ aspec suspension on OEMAcuraParts.com?

From personal experience, negative camber will not wear your tires as much as negative toe will. When lowering the TL like how I did in the past at -3 inches all around. The rear gets a nasty amount of negative toe. Now only reason why I would consider the camber kits is so I can have both sides dialed in equally and to be able to adjust and zero out toe.

If you pick up the Ingalls rear camber kits from Heel toe and use coupon code:acurazine rocks. Total without shipping is $162.12. And wow... I totally forgot how much places will take away from your wallet for labor to install things . DIY FTW .
Edit: read this thread when you have the time, Heel toe covering the: Do I need camber kits. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/do-i-need-camber-kit-606757/

Hey there SSM4DR and thanks for the input. I sent HeelToe a message to see if they would price match the 576 for the Aspec Suspension that is advertised on OEMACURAPARTS.COM I would love to save the labor and do the work myself but I A) Share a garage at my apartment complex so no room to navigate the repair B) am scared I will F* something up from non experience and C) no tools Another dude on here said that they could round up people from Acurazine to help install the camber and the Aspec suspension and I would game to learn how if someone had the place to do it and the tools to do it. Id even pick up some cases of beer for the ordeal (After the cars done of course ) Yea the dealership said it would be about 576 to install the Camber kit on the rear (labor and then another allignment) He said my front end was fine toe in out etc camber but the rear toes were way out so they corrected that but I still have a camber issue that will cause my tires to wear quicker (and since they arent cheap tires i dont want that issue) Sorry for the lengthy response..

I did read that article by HeelToe, but I think I am going to get the Camber kit for fear of tire wear and since I want to add the Aspec suspension as well.

Xpressobeans, you're welcome . I totally hear you out on your situation with: sharing the garage, having no tools, and being afraid to mess things up. Maybe you can call around to local shops and get price quotes? Like: Modern Automotive performance, Full blown motorsports, and ect. Because some times those places charges less for labor vs the dealership. As far as wheel alignment goes, save money and get the 3 year/36,000 4 wheel align service for $139.99 at Tires plus, you can take it in as many times as you want in those 3 years or 36,000 miles. Seeing that an 4 wheel alignment costs around $70 dollars, with this deal you'll be on top.

I forgot to add that when I raised up my car and threw the stock wheels back on with snow tires, I went to get an alignment done and my rear cambers were sitting at -2.1 degrees at both sides. Toe wise, they zeroed them out.

Thanks for the links Joe! Looks like those quad tips aren't offered, at least not the ones that they linked to, so I'll be doing a little research in to some new ones. I'm wondering if doing a mid-muffler delete and adding the quad tips is the way to go, or if I should just pick up an aftermarket exhaust.. Not sure if I'll notice much with the aftermarket exhaust or not..

On another note, I'm stoked to pick up my car tomorrow!!

Understandable, I still have it but a guy is going to buy it. I just need to find a box big enough to ship this damn thing! I'm hoping to possibly pick up Richies RV6 True Dual Exhaust, or just save the money and get a new front bumper and finish off the A-spec kit.

Anyone have a box with measurements close to these.
