Hopefully we can get another meet set in stone. I can probably recruit a couple of more TL's to come to your next meet.

Looks good. I'm assuming an actual place of business will not tint it less that 50% unless you get someone doing it on the side?

How much did you pay for that? I have a co-worker who is an Audi fanatic and he says he has a guy who will tint my TL any way I want for $150....

I paid $400, that's because of the kind of tint I asked for.

Just about any place will tint to any specs you want. They may just have you sign a waiver that says you understand the laws and will not hold the installer reliable.

Kind of like how you can buy neon tubes everywhere but you can't use them. lol

I'll be using tintpros mobile when I get mine done. Also gonna see if they will cut me a deal on a 2-fer while he's at my house.

Niiiiice. Looks like an MP62 blower, correct? How many miles were on it? What are you going to do for engine management?

If you need some advice on what to do, or more importantly what NOT to do, give me a shout. I've been down that road before.

Yes it's full comptech kit, I got it used with unknown miles on it. That's why I broke it down for a cheap rebuild. Didn't find any bad scrapes inside housing so it got cleaned and repacked needle bearings. For engine management I was going to just run the ems but didn't want to depend on it. So I went for the aem FIC-6 with aem pnp harness. I'm also adding aem meth kit as well. I do have a few questions for you since this is a similar to your previous setup. How is the best way to contact you?

That would actually be wonderful. I am teaching a class that ends on the 13th and it would be a nice day off. Hopefully I'll have my tires and wheels on as well.

Does anyone have a recommended installer for a set of Tein SS's? I am ordering a set along with a rear camber kit from Marcus at Heeltoe and would like to have someone throw it all on and align it for me. I'm in St. Paul but can drive around of course. Where's a good place, and about how much am I looking at paying? Thanks!

I bought the parts about a year ago... I paid about $250 for the Rotorpros drilled/slotted rotors and about $175 for the EBC Red Stuff pads. They make these for the TL also...

BIG RED is also in need of a bake job. When I bought those parts for White Heat, I was not concerned with how they would perform during the winter since she hibernates during that season. I would like to get drilled/slotted rotors for BIG RED, but am concerned about snow/ice build-up and how they would perform in winter conditions. What do you guys think...?

1157 LED Bulbs

Before I install my re-done headlights, I want to get some cool white 1157 LED bulbs for my parking lights and front turn signals. I heard CREE LED's are the best in the industry. iJDMTOY uses CREE LED's in there LED bulbs. That is why I am considering these two bulbs:

1) iJDMTOY Error Free No Resistor Required 18W 20-SMD LED Bulb (It states the bulb is for Audi, BMW, or Mercedes... I wonder if it is error free and no resistor required for Acura?): http://tiny.cc/sdg6z
2) iJDMTOY Super Bright Xenon White 40-SMD LED Bulb: http://tiny.cc/zknpj

I know a lot of people use V-LEDs. That is why I am considering these two bulbs:

3) V-LEDs Platinum 6K White 7W High Power 20 LED Bulb: http://tiny.cc/k5je6
4) V-LEDs White M-SMT 27 LED Bulb: http://tiny.cc/98kpc

Which 1157 LED bulb do you guys think I should get?

I had to cut them open replace the turn signals with cleared tinted ones along with the LED cover. Also took out the frosted diffuser then you'll be able to see each individual LED when I have the lights on. This is a pretty hard project.

What if we got a big Chicago/Minneapolis meet going with the Acuras and the G35s and held it in like, Milwaukee. That would be cool.

My buddy over at Hoover wheel alignment can do it for you. Call the shop on monday and ask for Marty.

1101 east hennepin ave mpls

612-331-4805

He does awesome work and it will be done right.he does all my suspension work. He will need to see your ride before he gives you a price quote. Quotes at the shop are free.

If you decide to let the back yard mechanics on this forum get a hold of it...lol... make sure you atleast get it aligned at a shop... Don't be like those honda civic guys and chew up tires cause you never got an alignment done.

I am definitely looking for a shop with experience to do this. No offense to myself or anyone else, but if I am buying Teins, throwing on Works, etc., I don't want to save money by putting together what keeps me on the road cheaply and without experience!

How is Marty's experience with setting up coilovers? I'm not looking for a track tuned corner weighted suspension, but just adjusting them to a decent ride height and knowing what and won't rub?

Heeltoe can sell it with new OEM tophats installed so it shouldn't be too tough getting in, hopefully.

Second taillight was a perfect success compared to the first one. Cuts are much smoother and easier to epoxy. Hopefully the fit on my car now

He is very experienced in suspension and brakes altogether. He has been at this shop for 10 years and is their top money maker there. He also wont give you no bullshit. He will tell you EXACTLY what you will need to have a smooth, SAFE ride. No worries man, he does great work. Like I said before he is the only person I trust with my suspension. Just tell him exactly what you want from them.

There is a thread for their meet. I will get in there and see what they say. I don't know what day they were planning on but sounds like July.
