Meh, my old car they didn't do a good job around the micro dots on the rear window, so it looked like it was pealing off....no exaggeration, it was like a 3 inch strip along the top of the rear window and they said there was nothing they could do. That was a few years ago though, so maybe they've changed. Unfortunately for me, I'm one of those guys that doesn't go back to a place if you do a crappy job the first time.

Too bad the manufacturers haven't learned that the dotted section really sucks for the aftermarket tint, but it must be cheaper to do that than to just have a black stripe.

It's official. Cars going up for sale. Not usre when, and if it will sell. I pretty much need/want to get what I have the loan out for (~18k). I think it might work since i've got some decent mods (aspec, lights, intake) and the car still have 25k miles left on the warranty.
What you guys think?
I just can't see complaining all the time about how I don't have any money to fix stuff around the house when I have a $500 car payment. I'll sell the TL, drive the truck for a year or so. Then probably buy a Mustang (late 80's, early 90's - when they were still 5.0's). Then I will have something that I can work on, something that's cheap to get parts, and something that will actually have some HP under the hood when it's all said and done.
I could put 10 grand into the TL and still only have 350-400 horse if I'm lucky. Put 2-3 grand into a mustang and you can get over 400 HP easily.

Josh dont burst Glows bubble he might find someone who wants a TL already somewhat moded. Oh BTW the Ferrari went for less than 43K.
Glow you need to be careful with those fox body Mustangs they just weren't built to handle the HP your looking at making. If you watch the Powerblock on Spike they have had a 90's Mustang they have been upgrading for a few years now and with added power comes the need to beef up the trans, the rear axle, the differential, the suspension and the body. It is all connected improve one thing everything else needs to be improved to handle the added power. Otherwise those Mustangs make great project cars if you have the time and money to put into it.

I think the same can be said for ANY car......there is a limit to what power you add before you start breaking stuff. Personally I don't know any car that you can add 200+ hp to without beefing up something.....usually the drivetrain first.
#5577
I don't think that cars are meant to handle more than 10-15% above the stock power output without additional modification.
#5578
If you could add unlimited power to a car without needing to do anything to the drivetrain or anything else I would have bought a cheap POS car and added a motor from http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/new_engine_chevy.htm
If you guys haven't checked out this site before, YOU HAVE TO DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know what's going in my Chevelle when I get it!!!!

I'd have to get back to you on that. The type S tails do make the car look a little better, and if I want to appeal - its gotta look good. I might be able to save them though
#5582
If they're not enthusiasts, just swap em out at the last minute before they come to pick up the car.
#5583
looks like we better have meets and revitalize the Acura spirit before all you guys decide to sell leaving only me, slappy and jano with TLs.
so im thinking let's have a really really big one mid july ish? it's far enough that people can make room in their calendar and move stuff around, date is still tentative but roughly around there?

I vote River West Park, there is a LOT of parking available, it's free, some sun/some shade, and grills. The fact that it's not always booked it a plus too, we won't be competing with the Jones' to get a grill and a couple of tables.

So I spotted a SWEET lookin TL last night. I was actually at the gym and looked out and to my amazement there was a 04-06 SSM with type-s tails, aspec rims, lowered (pretty low actually) and some dark tint! It was sitting in the drive thru of DQ in woodbury....anybody know who this might have been? It's the first time I've seen that car around.

Scoobs is back BITCHES!!!
Just picked up the scoob, and MAN is she FINE!
All I have to say is, if you ever need bodywork done, take it to Hagen's in Uptown. They decided to 'throw in a wet sand' and now the paint on the whole front half of the car is gorgeous! I'm talking mirror finish here people.
The only problem is that now the back half looks like shit in comparison. Or at least to my eyes...

doesnt really have to cost much, it's just a straight pipe in place of your cat. just go to a muffler shop and tell them you want a stainless steel.
