check out the ads for the Acura RLX in the NYTimes today...very expensive buy, I assume. I took pictures that I'll post up later.

2nd choice would be PMM, but I'm patient & can wait for a FBP.
Now just have to decide (when we're ready to shop) whether to get a '13 or try to hold out for a '14 & hope for Earth Dreams.
#933
You should be close.. I'd wait

That's the plan right now, because we need to get a few things paid off before we add on a car note.
It'll be offset just a tiny in the MPG savings over the TL (though I'm getting around 23-27, usually about 24.5MPG in the TL). 75% of my commute is on the highway.
Anyone heard anything on ED engines making it into the ILX?

My realistic numbers (not of the MID) is 27.5 on 50/50 drives.. ** I should mention I NEVER drive like a grandma lol... never.. and I probably wont ever be able to.. the car is too fun to take through gears.
33 on 80/20 drives. I haven't had the opportunity of running an entire tank of gas on the highway so I dunno how that would be. I imagine probably 35ish.. it tends to sit between 35/40 on the gauge but the hills and such will reduce that number in areas enough to drop the average.

I've hit 41.3 driving like a grandma (I have photographic proof), but if you're anything like me, you don't go below 65 and you flog it when you find a nice opening on the highway.

I was averaging less and driving more friendly so I'd say it'll go up after your oil change.
#947
I'm mostly do city as well and that is just about what I am getting with two oil changes and 7k in.
#949
Take a risk? I maybe misreading it but Eibach is a very worthy company for your suspension needs! I think your car will look coo!
#951
They will work. Not sure how the shocks and struts will like the new spring rate though

^that's the reason why I'm not using springs. You could get si shocks and struts and put springs on those since people are selling their stock suspension for reach.
#953
^ this.. I have a feeling the dual damper shocks wont be too stiff-spring friendly.. It will probably load them quicker into that second stage and may affect the ride more than usual. But, DO IT an then let us know lol

Found Civic SI stock suspension for 200 bucks...I'm going to get that with aftermarket springs. I'm willing to try that to get a quick and dirty drop for now. It'll definitely last the 25k miles on the stock struts / shocks.

The hfp will lower about .8-1" I was thinking of going that route, but it's cheaper to go the used si suspension with springs route. Plus you can go lower with the springs.
#957
After having my cobalt sit 2.6" off the ground (Measurement from the cat to the ground), i'm looking for something a little... taller .
Browsing through 9thgen for a set of stockers... cheapest was $350 so far.

If you can't find it for less than $300, than you may as well skip buying the stock suspension. That's because you'll have to factor in the cost of springs. Given that, I think the HFP will provide greater results for about $700
#959
Does the Si sit lower than the ILX? The Eibachs are supposed to be like a inch and a half or so from their height.. I'd say you're still going to have plenty of clearance. I will probably go 1.5 front and back on my coilovers when I get them.
