oh, i dont have any problems with the stock knob. it does get hot/cold easily, but its not terrible. But I'm just saying that the other aftermarket knobs i like to play around with seem to cope with extreme temps better. Either way, the stocker is more than sufficient for daily use.

I just like short round knobs better than the cylindrical/taller/oblong/oval style knobs

That last photoshop makes the rear end look really aggressive with the dual muffler setup. Will have to wait for someone to try it and take good pictures .

As far as the audio stuff: I purchased a JL Audio Cleansweep system to remove the factory EQ settings for my subwoofer amp. I do believe I have located the factory amplifier on the passenger side footwell by the radio. So I can tap all the low line speaker wires and have a flat signal for the sub in the rear and keep everything else bone stock.

I'm very close to picking up an ILX premium. I honestly was going to avoid it based on reviews around the web saying it was underpowered but I'm glad I decided to test drive it. It picks up much faster than my current car (2011 Honda Accord Coupe LX), probably due to weight. I love the parchment leather interior, even though its a smaller car, the parchment makes me feel like I have more space compared to the ebony.

I test drove the new Accord EX Sedan and I like the extra space and left lane watch a lot. However, it feels slower, even slower than my current car and I'm not thrilled with interior layout compared to the ilx.

I'm seriously leaning towards the ilx due to its looks and (to me) better power. Yet, I still feel like I could more for less with the accord. So many things to think about.

Hey, I would say the Accord is a great bang for the buck if you need the space. I would have to lean on the ILX interior being better. If you can swing it though.. try to get a Tech the IMID screen on the ILX Premium is pathetic compared to the Accord.

if possible.. I would try to wait til the next model year comes out. hopefully with fixes or even the 2.4 in automatic and drop the 2.0 altogether. that would solve the lack of power factor. But that would probably make it way harder for me to find the manual version in the future, they need to restructure their market sales plans.

I went to the vw dealer to see what they'd appraise my car at (was looking at a golf R) ...they said 20k, I said see ya later. Thinking about it now, I couldn't fathom trading this car in for a GTI / Golf R.

Dealers are pathetic with their offers.. "20K" that's comedy. I could never see myself driving a Golf.. I dont care if it's 1000 whp... awful little car in my opinion.

I think about it a lot and this car is plenty to be my DD for the next 8 years.. I dont really care about all the screens and that enough to re-up a note. I just want this car to give me 200k miles (which I am sure it will) with no issues and then I'll move on.

They could make the 2014 the sickest car on the market and I still wouldnt wanna re-up a note.. I really wanna be out of any debts besides my soon to be mortgage.

The guy didn't know what the ilx was. I said it was Acura's version of a civic and he's like it feels like a civic...not sure if it was his way of saying that a GTI would be much better.

I've had mine since September 12th and have 5400

Going to be silly and hookup my Google Nexus 7 on the dash. I have the premium version so I don't have GPS and a Tiny little screen. The nexus will provide a bigger screen and GPS ability so it kills 2 birds with one stone. It also will connect via Bluetooth so I don't lose any fuction of the factory steering wheel controls.

I'm the lame guy that focuses on toys vs power mods.

The Cruze isn't a terrible car with the 6MT.
I'd take a Civic Si or Civic over the Cruze, but I'd have the Cruze over a Jetta or Corolla, personally.

The AEM CAI looks like the intake they used on the endurance racer. Anyone else get that vibe by the way the top bends?

Look at how it hooks up compared to the endurance racer's AEM intake. Indentical.

However, note that the Endurance Racer's battery has been relocated to the cockpit.. I think that little hook on the top is designed to clip up over there.

wonder why the injen didn't fit. Either way, you can modify this intake to make it fit as the tubes connect with couplers so you can pick and choose which you need / want and you can rotate the piping accordingly.

The Injen is like a S shape and it barely fits in the Si as is. Our lower resonator area is different than the Si.. ours doesn't have the back space and the tube goes straight down.. this AEM should fit as it goes straight down where our stock resonator tube is, the Injen bends back and then back to the front again.. it's weird if you as me.. I don't like the idea of all those bends but the AEM might be the first fully functioning CAI for the car since the others all apparently attract heat. I have never had heat issues with a SRI but it's all over the web how they're the devil lol

Civic Si Chamber

ILX Chamber

I dunno how to describe it but the AEM looks like it bi-passes that back piece and just goes along the left side of the picture and goes straight to where that bottom box would be.. sorry if thats unclear.

MIND MY BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK! The red is where the AEM intake would go- bypassing the resonator box (where your filter is now) and the back piecing of the resonator chamber.

The general torque gains their dyno test show is very respectable.. and unlike the Takeda and other intakes there is no inconsistency in the powerband. I would say this one is promising.. also it's facing the opposite direction the INJEN was facing.. so you shouldnt see an issue with radiator heat.

Any reason no one likes the K&N Typhoon SRI? It should also fit our cars.

Share link to 205 shipped.. that's a dope deal. For cost purely the intake maybe the best.. for cost theres no way to justify others.

the AEM should definitely fit. As Trent demonstrated in his incredible artwork, the injen didnt work because of the way it bends with the "s" shape.

The AEM pipe goes straight down into the front fender well area, as long as the intake box and resonator gets pulled out, the filter should sit nicely and I see that the airflow is much more direct as well compared to the injen.

I just don't like the way the SRI sits in the engine bay, hovering near the firewall right where the heat from the downpipe would come up. Yes they "blocked" it with the heatshield, but I rather have the filter sitting away from any engine heat in general.

The k&n won't fit! The civic si has a different lid so I'm thinking there is a difference with how the intakes were designed to fit the cars.
