Haha, I'm holding off on mods because a lot has been changing in my life and I want to pay off some bills first. Fortunately, I found out that my gf bought me a gift certificate for tints so that mod will happen for sure. Along with the sway bar, yellow fogs, a drop, and wheels.

Funny that you say that. I had a 3g tl for a little bit, then got a 2g tsx, now I have the 1g ilx...next would be a concept Nsx.

Speed, I am starting to think you don't love your ILX family.. you can't just "leave" the family... *mob talk*

That won't happen any time soon...I plan on sticking with the ILX for a while. I just like to play dreamer by trying to acquire other cars. My build will be the build of builds.

First I gotta remove that door ding on my car....looks like when I posted picks of my house that there was/is infact a door ding.

My girlfriend doesn't understand that concept.. I am always pointing out cars to her like "wow, I'd love to have one" and she is now always like "why do you hate your car/you want every car!" .. I am a car guy! I dream outloud!!!! That's what we do!

I hope you do build your ILX; I hope I also follow through with mine.. then one day maybe our cars will meet!

(without hindering life events)

I KNEW IT.. MY GOD MAN... I was so praying for you that it was just the refleciton. The car gods WILL spite the evil doers who have disgraced your car with their filthy door.

Its a pretty bad door ding. Does anyone have experience with how to remove dings. How much does it cost, etc.

Paintless repair is pretty inexpensive; should range from $100-200 no more.

There are sooo many in the DFW area, it's crazy. But, I am sure you'll find one within range.

What do you think Speed? 2.5" DP or 3"? For me, like we discussed earlier, the 3" race exhaust sounds good to me.. AND, I am looking for the CT-E S/C.. I think the increased flow once I go forced will be a nice gain over the 2.5".. RV6+Injen seems to be a nice option but Full Race front to back would be a loss on the low end until I went S/C.. decisions, decisions

I'm waiting for tax season.. then should be the first and probably only Turbo 2.0 ILX. Going to take the R18 kit and fab it up

Proceed with this end of the world discussion... eyes on North Korea...

I'm willing to sacrifice a little bit of top-end power and go with the RV-6...it's a little less expensive, comes with everything I need, and will be a little quieter than a 3" system.

I was so excited about getting home to install my hybrid spoiler yesterday that I forgot how to drive. I cut a corner too close on one of the parking garage ramps and curbed one of my alloys. Nothing major, about a half inch of rash, but it makes me wanna kick myself in the nads.

No clue. I can't find another source for the OEM wheels. Delray sells the accessory 17" that Tyson put on his car. I tried to contact an alloy repair company for a quote. Probably will go that route if it's affordable.

Sorry about your wheel bro...must have been all that extra speed due to the hybrid spoiler induced downforce!

On a serious note...how many people bought the wheel damage coverage from the dealership?

I never buy those packages from the dealer. They make you sign a waiver claiming that they offered you the service and you denied it...really weird.

- Wheel repair can be a cheaper alternative to buying a new wheel.. or just suck it up

I agree with the savings but once you go forced the 3" will be better power throughout, it'll just lose backpressure while you're N/A. The noise I understand too though... hrmmmm. Have you heard a stock K24 with the RV6 downpipe? It changes the sounds substantially.

yea, I heard it on a stock catback and that's what I think I'll do for my setup (though, I may weld another resonator to the stock catback). This car doesn't have a look that begs for a loud exhaust, unlike a mustang or a subaru sti.

I dunno if it's the look of the car.. I think they just sound awesome. Those are two cars it's nearly impossible to make sound bad. (although some have managed)

I don't want super loud but I dont mind noise, the car is louder than most stock. But, back to my point...

The dent and ding body and wheel package have been a lifesaver for me. Had a ding in the door like yours along with rock chips near my front head lights, both were resolved without a hassle.

Well I rarely have issues with dings...ever...in the 14k miles and driving back and forth into manhattan with my tsx, Ive never encountered one. I did get one in my civic when someone decided to fully extend the taxi cab door as I was in the next lane over.

Well that's the thing with dings and dents...I am confident in my own abilities to avoid them. But I have not f*ing faith in the other drivers out there! As my first new car, I really want to baby it for as long as I can. Maybe it'll be a complete waste of money, but you live and you learn.

Not my first new car, I have had 18 new vehicles I think and I always dread when the first one is going to come. My ZDX had the windshield dinged in the first week and shopping cart scrapes I believe in the next week.

So many people just don't care.
