Like has been said, these are the first games. They will improve. Just not right now. Now, knowing what I know about you here - if you give your PS3 back, I am quite sure you will buy another one in the future.
don't get me wrong, I would, eventually, like to have all 3 consoles, but there are a handful of reasons for me to return this one before Jan.6th

1) there really aren't any games right now that interest me, but I have no doubt there will later

2) it really bothers me that I paid $70 for only one year of extended warranty @ Game Stop when I can buy with confidence later @ Costco and not even have to pay extra for.

3) I'm simply having too much fun right now with the 360.

4) even though it's still unopened, I swear... it talks to me, telling me I need to go buy a 1080p TV... and I just don't need to do such thing right now... my 2 year old 50" Samsung DLP is just fine...

...so, I'll just wait til Costco get's their shipment in, I believe around March...

Casper, I feel the same way about Resistance. I am so used to PC FPS's, I have never been able to get into any console FPS's. It's just too difficult to aim.

Anyways, I picked up God of War for $15 bucks and have been playing it on the PS3. Good game!

It came out in March of 2005 and is now one of if the "Greatest Hits" Series that can be found from $15-20.

It scored a 9.3 from gamespot.

I dont mean to make things worse, but the PS3 I got as a gift came from the Costo in either Simi Valley or the San Fernando Valley. So unless they are only getting them once a quarter or something, they may have them sooner than March.

more reason to return today...

with Costco, it will most likely be a bundle, they add maybe $70-$100 over but at least it'll come with extras... and of course the ease of mind that you can always return it, if it breaks down...

This really really really sucks.

Force Feedback on PS3? Not So Much
A Gran Turismo game without force feedback? Say it ain't so!
By Luke Smith, 01/04/2007

A NeoGAF post pointing to GT Planet post raised our eyebrows at the possibility that Force Feedback (an Immersion-patented tech [the rumble guys, remember]) would not function on Sony's PS3. Force feedback response control is a big deal to racing fans and fans of Sony's Gran Turismo series are likely jonesing for the fifth installment of the game with a slick FF wheel.

Sony Computer Entertainment America confirmed that there would be no supported force feedback technology with its PlayStation three. They told 1UP the following:

All PS3 games are programmed for the SIXAXIS which doesn't have force feedback, therefore the force feedback in the wheels won't be recognized.
No word this time on whether there will be a racing wheel that supports "leaning technology" where the SIXAXIS motion-control functionality can be integrated into a wheel. We're joking, but it's through tears.

It can't be supported by the development API because of the Immersion lawsuit, which means that third party wheels can't have it either.

Sony should really suck it up like MS and Nintendo and settle already.

So, like, on like, Saturday? I was like, at Walmart, and like, I totally saw, like, EIGHT PS3s on the shelf!

But, I walked away. Gawd, what willpower I possess.

heh, i see the same everywhere i go. i don't understand what all this shortage nonsense is about. i'm running across more than a few, and have been for quite awhile.

i've nearly no interest in on, however, i want a damn Blu-ray player. don't know if i should get a PS3, wait for a dual format player, or just wait for Samsungs next-gen BR players.

when I returned my unopened one the other day... for some reason I thought I had to explain myself... after I finished giving the kid my list of excuses... he looked at me and said... "basically, that's how I feel..." I had no problems getting all my money back AND the extended warranty too...

I'd personally pay $4 a month to get a reliable service with features such as voice chat, an integrated network across all games and fast downloads.

While I would love for Xbox Live Gold to be free, I understanding running a network is expensive.

In comparison, the day GT released on the PSN, I couldn't get in for half the day, and once I finally did, the game took me close to 6 hours to download (locking up my system as you can't do anything else while you are downloading) with my 15mb connection.

I couldn't imagine playing FPS Live w/o being able to communicate (w/voice).

I have to admit though... and soopa's brought this up before... sometimes there could be really annoying and ghetto people playing... really immature sometimes... I just turn the volume off... or I'll try and switch teams between matches... and try really really hard to kill that person as much as I can...
